The game needs to be programmed to work at a slower frame rate. It seems the program is trying to process a fixed fps.

I would like t osay thsi is still a problem. I continue to have an extremly slow frame rate on any screen mode and any resolution. From what I have seen of the game paly I have almsot exactly half the normal framerate this game is supposed to play at.

Hi folks,

The staff on Nom Nom Galaxy is due to expand this month, so we should start seeing improvements in optimization shortly. At the moment we only have two guys working on it (the artist Yamatron and one lowly programmer), but with more staff we'll be able to work on new features and improving performance.

same here btw, it's nice to know the issue would be solved, still following patch updates to know when to come back.

Thanks! We appreciate your patience. We think there are a lot of improvements that can be made to the world tiling system and the gas, as those are two of the most resource intensive parts of the code currently.

First - such an awesome game! I've been waiting to play this since october 2013, finally built a pc two days ago, been playin some nomnom. It's so awesome, in fact, that i played it in super slow motion, low fps mode for hours before I realized that something might just be wrong. Computer stats:

Desktop PC
Intel i5 4670k
Geforce GTX 770 2GB
8GB RAM
Windows 8.1 Pro

Sure enough, if I made the game windowed it played at normal speed, albiet with an occasional fps hiccup. Keep up the good work!

Everything goes in slowmo for me too but only when near a factory that has power and only when in fullscreen mode, running it in windowed seems to be fine so perhaps that is a short term fix for others too.

I have exact the same issue with some of you guys, but in revert.
Slow: in window mode.
Fast: in full screen.
And it will be slow in both if i turn on the recording software.
