When did the bug occur?
On Tyrall planet, when the SoShoku Soup corporation send multiples waves of tourists. Last screenshot I took before the crash : http://i.imgur.com/mejf4R4.jpg
Can you reproduce it?
Yes, it happens everytimes
GPU: Nvidia GTX570
Memory 16gb
DirectX Version 11
OS Windows 10 pro (had same problem with Windows 7)
Every time the game crashes to a black screen it seems to be after a new day starts when invaders are around.
After getting the black screen about 4 times in a row in the same battle, i tried letting the towers handle them and not using the attack button and did not get a black screen.
also the game seems to run slower than it did on windows 7.
Edit: Joining those friends the bug does not occur, Only when I host.

The black screen issue is gone for me, if I have an xbox controller plugged in.
wtf?
Here are some details of the process:
No matter how often and hard I tried, the first tutorial level wouldn't start and had me force-quit the game multiple times. The menu works fine, stage selection worked, but right before the newspaper should show up, nothing happened.
As the option menu didn't leave much space for interpretations of this error, I tried the window mode with different solutions and noticed, that the resolution is not affected after changing, even though I was prompted the question whether to apply the change or not. After several attempts I managed to get the tutorial level started and am now only left with a guaranteed crash upon finishing a level - it is playable though. The fix that worked for me is as follows:
Upon starting the game I make sure to switch to window mode. If the change isn't applied, I restart the game. Furthermore I've noticed that the window size makes a vital difference and I am trying to keep it far below full screen size, say around two thirds of the full screen size. As soon as I'm in the level, i can go for the windowed full-screen and have a quite enjoyable experience (this game is quite a blast - glad I messed around with this error). However, without re-adjusting the window size upon level completion, I get to force-quit the game again, so there is little doubt that for my set-up the resolution is closely related, if not causing this.
Hope this helps a bit - please locate this little bug and provide a suitable presentation for your excellent game. Keep up the good work!

I get the black screen bug almost the same time everytime.
When I'm playing a multiplayer game (online, not local) with my wife who is in the same house (so same network) and I am hosting the game, the game crashes whenever she opens the build menu to build ANYTHING except for an Office at the start of the game.
We can reproduce this every single time.
The weird thing is that a few times, we've had another friend out of state join our game and he was able to build anything while the game would still crash whenever my wife tried to build anything.
Several causes of black screens have been found and we should have fixed pushed out within the next two weeks for them and some other big bugs as well.
I figured out why I had blackscreen as I started any map.
I have a Thrustmaster joystic. (for simulators) I guess due to unexpected controller layout, the game died.
If the joystic is removed, it works perfectly.
If a proper xbox controller is also present, the game works again as it chooses the controller to be player2.

Always happen in multiplayer games. When the second player tries to buy something in the store.
I got some strange artifact when playing consecutively hot potato galactic chalenge (and quickly reseting level by (start) then (Y), then at one reset, the screen gone all pixelated with pink and green pixels like an Artifact of overheating GPU (wasn't the case).
After ALT-F4 to desktop as measure of security, windows told about performances issues, as if RAM was lacking.
Then I relaunched the game, and each time I wanted to play again the Hot potato Galactic challenge, black screen occured.
/!\ (the exact time is when the game was requesting scoreboard, after the level was loaded, and just before the green (ok) button for starting the challenge appear)
FYI I finished this chalenge once, could my score got kind of corrupted, then the client/server protocol trying to submit/download just said "NOPE" blocking the game chain of process?? the BS occur just when this leaderboard load at the start...
BTW if you need more info, just ask (I didn't found any log for this game)

(update): Since then, the chalenges timed-up, so I tried new ones, and then most of them got the black screen AFTER i finished them at least once. It seem to be systematic...
Also neither borderless-window nor classic windowed changed anything, nor did my new RAMstick (just for info).

100% Black screen on Begreep stage when the final (expensive) attack comes in. When the bus thing is supposed to arrive, it black screens. I can't finish the level because of this one, so non-progression.
