Really disappointed with what I've read on here.
So this game just released from PS Plus, I tried playing a game online with friends only to find the lag actually makes this impossible. I then do a little bit of research and find this has been an issue since release on both PC and PS4. Reading the comments on here I find out that the developers have essentially stopped trying to fix the problems for now and have decided to make a new game 'The Tomorrow Children' which releases later this year, then they'll come back and 'fix' the broken game they previously released. Trust me when I say this, I will not be purchasing any game from you in the future if I happen upon one that looks interesting and I will spread the word you aren't to be trusted. Being honest about it is one thing but as a business you can't sell a broken product, lie that you'll fix and then say 'oh yeah well, wait half a year first then we'll do it.'. What shoddy business practices. Shame on you. I feel sorry for all those that actually paid specifically for this game since I got it with my subscription.

Single player works well enough and if they don't sell enough units you cant expect them to continue working on it. Developers cost money, I'm sure they are hoping sales of their next game can cover the cost of fixing this one. If they really wanted to abandon this game they would release a sequel like most other devs these days.

Don't release things that don't work then. All you're doing is saying "it's fine for developers to release games that don't particularly work, take money from customers and then give up on them". They should be hoping that the sales of Nom Nom Galaxy can cover the cost of fixing it because they shouldn't have sold it under false pretences. You can't justify that.

What's worse is if they abandon it after they released it was just a cash grab they knew it was broke and released it to make money and then abandoned it.

Blah blah blah.....

It's sold as a co-op game, that apparently, from all the reviews and posts I've read, doesn't actually work in co-op. Plus, I can only see posts from the devs from 2015.

Your logic is excuciatingly painful. It's like buying a car, but getting a three-wheeled motorcycle. But hey, if they sell enough units, maybe they'll turn it into a car!

This is what lawyers and bankruptcy court is all about.

Welcome to the real world, time=money. Most studios expect alpha to pay for further development, but if no one buys the alpha, guess what? No money to pay those devs. Also its not like it was a big expensive game like lets say xcom 2 that was broken on release and cost x5 more. And tbh why would you want to play this game multiplayer anyway it has no multiplayer mechanics. The truth is they tried to make a game they didn't have the budget for and their runway collapsed. It happens at least single player works i.e the core of the game.

if only things worked with this way , sadly as much as i dont support what devs did its only mature choice they could do

you dont know how bugfixing is time consuming and it actualy dont earns your revenue , all jokes aside i dont think you would be working a job where you would not be paid for months(especialy if project who earned your money just erned enough for you to sustain yourself and earn a bit) , big indie studios can get away with that as game sells well but usualy also case becouse publisher comes in and says "why are you fixing this , you should be making DLC's" thats why we get lots buggy AAA releses too

What developers did here is they will make second game in hopes to make enough money to able to fix isue with this game , and no , nom nom galaxy did not sell in lots quantities , if it was more popular it propobly would been fixed by now as devs have enough money to actualy live

its sad but thats how small indie dev studios are , lots of them not make enough money and you see games abandoned and never finished , some devs(very rare) actualy fix these bugs for free , some fix it later after making another game

at end of the day its a job , while im not happy coop is buggy i wont lash on them as its not entirely their foult

This is some garbage logic and a garbage attitude to have. Just stop kissing up to the devs.

The OP is absolutely right, stop making justifications here. Other Indie devs don't pull this kind of stunt, why should these guys be any different? Apparently they have enough time and money to make a whole other game. Oh but wait, maybe that game will have bugs too, but screw it, maybe they'll just make game #3 to fix those bugs?

This is a wretched way to develop games, and a fantastic way to lose good will with your customer base.

Guess what? Developing doesn't earn any revenue either, it's selling the game that earns a revenue. I don't know what you're yammering on about.

Take a good look as Spacebase DF-9, and that wasn't an Indie dev.

At least this game was finished, but what kind of pathetic devs won't go the extra mile to make it work? Yet, they're still selling it. Pretty much outright fraud.

To be honest I could fire off at least 10 alpha garbage "indie" games that made millions with crippling bugs that were never fixed (or even finished), this game on the other hand sold next to nothing and did fix the core of the game "single player".

I have never owned a more laggy, crasshy buggy game than this one. impossible to play on multiplayer!. shame on u devs for not even responding to this thread! Pixeljunk sucks and i will be extremely cautious in the future with any of your products. and i will spread the word also.
Small claims court is a good way to teach ♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs a lesson. If everyone files for false advertisement, maybe it'll teach these companies a lesson. Just because you've given yourself the "indie" label doesn't excuse bad behaviour.

Also, as far as I'm concerned, once you release on PS4, you're no longer "Indie".

Didnt know about 'The Tomorrow Children'. Good to know. I will stay way clear of that game, and will tell all my friends to do the same. Will not support anything they do in the future untill they come back and fix multiplayer in this one. Will tell everyone i know to stay clear of this company too since its clear they dont care a rats ass about their product or their player base.

Shame on you Pixeljunk! You used to be a cool company at first, now u are junk!
