The game doesn't start (resolved)

I bought Alien breed trilogy.

All 3 games don't start. I can play hundreds of games on steam, so I think it's a problem of these games.

Can anyone help me?

EDIT: Tempusfugit78 found the solution to the problem. Post no.28, page 2 of this thread. All 3 games work now.

Do you meet the system requirements to run these games? That's a good place to start. Don't blame the games, I can run all 3 with no issues.

Infact I wrote that I could play many games on steam, so I thought it was a problem of Alien breed games. I don't want to blame the games, but it's really strange that I can play 430 games on steam and these three Alien breed games don't run.

Maybe they need some specific programs to run.

Is there anyone that can help me, please?

I have:
Windows 7 64 bit
i3 core
Ati radeon HD5470

Those specs seem fine, your video card is similar to mine, I have an ATI Radeon 6450 1024 MB, windows 7 64 bit and I have a dual core.

Yes, it's strange. Maybe it's a problem of steam program. I don't understand which is the problem :(

Do you have the games installed on an external hard drive, I have found that some games won't run if they are installed on an external hard drive.

Did that Unreal thing install correctly? did you uninstall anything recently? this game use unreal 3 engine and it won't run unless that is installed correctly. just ideas.

I updated the GPU drivers, but it doesnt't start :( . Maybe there is a program that I need to run it.

Not sure if you're still having this problem or not, but you can go into the steamapps/common/alien breed impact/binaris/windows folder and run the UE3redist installer and instal the game engine manually. hope that helps.

ok thanks for the advise, I'll try it. In the last days I updated the GPU driver and it has resolved some problems with the startup of 3 games. Alien Breed doesn't start yet, but now I try your solution.

Sorry to hear it didn't work. I'd google the problem once in a blue moon and see if anything new comes up. It's deffinately a fun game if you can get it working.
