Resolution/Aspect Ratio Problem

Hey guys,
I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I am having with Worms. I just installed it for the first time on my computer mac, using windows, and the aspect ration/ resolution is all off. By this I mean that only the lower half of the screen is showing on my screen at once. I can just barely see the menu and I cannot use the mouse to click anything. I can only use the arrow jeys to scroll down to different options.

I have scrolled down to options and then video but nothing works when I change the aspect ratio or resolution of the game. I still just seen a blown up image of about half of the screen. Also, everytime I load up the game, it changes th e resolution on my whoe pc too. Like eveything gets really big, at some 1000 x something else resolution.
I try to escape to my desktop while keeping the game running to fix the screen resolution but it just fixes the format of my computer but not the game does not fix the issue either.

tl;dr everytime i start worms, the resolution changes and I cannot use the mouse. I also do not seem to be able to correct the resolution through the game's properties or the main pc's properties.

Any help/suggestions?

Right click it and click properties.
Click the 'Compatibility' tab
Tick the box that says "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"
Click Apply/OK

See if that fixes it.

I know some games have this problem if your scaling is set higher than "Smaller" or "100%" in Windows.

For people on modern Windows 10, its a bit different, do this:
Click 'Compatibility', then click 'Change high DPI settings', then tick the box where it says 'Override high DPI scaling behaviour. Scaling performed by:' and just leave it set to 'Application'.

This is actually pointless because the artwork doesn't support 4K anyway. The game looks like it was designed for a 4:3 aspect ratio so increasing the resolution won't improve anything.
