game needs a new mode bad
just finished the game today and i have to say, while i really enjoy the experience i won't play it outside of doing some casual speedrunning. the game is FAR too linear for me to go for any high score runs rn for the following reasons

1: Time, you only get so much of it and you have to go further and further away from home with everything getting higher and higher. eventually you'll hit a wall

2: lack of variety and not using your game space. when we get the basements we are then moved only to the highest basement we have for orders. when you have b1 you never see the warehouse again, when you have b2 you only pass through b1, when you have HR it's just a DAMN slog. Add onto the fact that each day you move us up a number, So if i buy b2 cert and get my orders i have b, c and d. ok cool however theres a pattern. its all B1-# or C1-#, The following day that goes up to 2, then 3, and finally B4, C4, and D4. making it so you only play in certain areas AND you are only playing in certain aisles of those areas! Once you hit B4 a order will only send you to B2 or B3 if the game has a stroke

3: lack of enemy danger. the walkers on their own are pitiful at best. We need some new monsters that pose a actual threat alongside the walkers so theres actual danger and not minor annoyances.

I do really like the game and i offer this feedback in the hopes the devs will improve the game up to something that can be played for much longer with far more strategy. I love games like this cuz it reminds me of lethal company and other coop horror games but this one can be played alone! I hope you guys read this and gloss over it and take it into consideration and thanks for your time

Actual danger???!!! Some people, like me, sucks so bad despite enjoying this game that we are stuck at the first few days(day 3 for me)!
Agree the game only lasts 3 hours.
Don't agree it needs more monsters.
Do agree it needs procedural progression.
Buying all the upgrades in 3-4 days, and winning in 5-10 is just embarrassing for a game.
Negative review time.

i made it 11 days before beating the game and didnt die once. so id personally like more danger
I agree, if the tickets were generated more at random it's an additional challenge to figure out how many times and in which areas you should run to reach your quota. It sucks that once you unlock a certain area you must only go to a certain area. I hate walkers in basement 2 I usually lose so much time getting cornered by them. I wish we could stun them for a while or distract them. Like you can carry a cat photo around with you but what does it do? Maybe if you stare at it the monster can disappear for a while?) Also for an endless mode maybe we could feed the cat more than once a day orplay with it to get its meter up. I'm also curious why is there a second compartment door next to our own base, will something be added later?

So, definitely needs a Hard mode. Literally just double the distance it can aggro for both hearing and sight and maybe a 50% boost in speed for the monster on all floors.

Monster on first floor needs double the view distance anyway.

Then Extra Hard mode for triple aggro distance and 100% speed boost.

Also an option to pick how many monsters, too.

Surely these would be easy ways to increase replayability.

Not gonna lie, regardless of how decent the current game is, if I was under 2 hours of play time I probably would have refunded. I ended up cooking dinner with the game open and hit 3 hours...

The HR area should have multiple rooms. Like a chessboard but only six or something rooms are open. Think The Cube. Every day the rooms change but only in a few configurations will it connect to a room with a computer that has the EXIT code.

You could also have the little jump scare things alert the monster to your current known location and it'll come running over.

Maybe make it so if you die, you only get one respawn for that Day and it increases the money you need to make for that Day by 50% or maybe that you need to buy an item called Cat's Lives +1 through +9, and it's little cat ornament that get's put on a shelf and every time you die one shatters.
