Impression after playing the demo
The idea is there but I have some thoughts.

What I liked:
The finding items and the granularity of the packing process. There's something satisfying about it and I would be happy if you leaned into that more.

Items such as the scanner felt quite cool to have. Other items such as a scooter or trolley with a basket would be cool if you needed multiple items for 1 order. Etc.
I couldn't figure out the tool belt yet though.

Atmosphere was cool. I think it serves quite well. Variation through biomes (freezer space for example) will add a lot.

Not a cat person myself but I appreciate that part. Spamming the pet button gave me a good laugh.

The skittering creature thing that I would run into here and there is a fun addition. It would be good if it has a more substantial impact on things.

What I did not like:
Based on everything else I saw, your potato monster falls short by quite a bit. Both visual design and function. Frankly it was more frustrating and in the way of the game more than anything else. An annoying obstacle to swerve around as I was trying to explore.
I can safely say that I would have been more intrigued by the demo if it wasn't there.
I feel it needs to be reworked in a significant way so it is more than a 'I got you, you're dead' mechanic.

Which brings me to the cat timer mechanic. I understand the intent behind it but it again gets in the way of the game. The world you have created is cool and I was quite intrigued to poke around and see what I could find. But apparently the cat can't survive for longer than 7min (I have not actually timed this). In general this mechanic made me resentful towards my needy cat.

I was hoping that the cat would come to my rescue when the potato got me.
Jump in its face or ward it off in some other manner.
And the cat's health bar was an indicator of if the cat had the energy to do so.
This would immediately make me like the cat a lot and it could be a solid mechanic to introduce other forms of damage later down the line.

All that said, I will probably keep an eye on your progress. Good luck with the rest of your development.
