Opening not working

Hi, i have this game on the steam deck, installed the patch, played a Little bit till the commissar found a burned leg upside down. Then, screen go White and the game stop responding. I have seen some gameplay and Is when the Opening start. How can i fix It?

lol i was gonna write a guide up for this but its a bit of effort for probably the dozen or so of us still playing this i can try helping you with it, as i had the same issue.
1-go into desktop mode
2-Use the discovery store to download protonup-qt
3-Add version ge-proton 8-9, then select show game list find the shell part 1, then set the shell to use ge-proton 8-9 after that press apply *this will not update until steam app has been restarted
4- Then go find the folder /home/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/GE-Proton8-9/files/lib64/
5-Find libprotonmediaconverter.so make a copy of it and toss it somewhere like in documents then delete the original
*proton ge 8-6 and or 8-9 seem to work from everyone i've seen posting about this issue.
You may or may not have this file i did another friend tried the same and couldn't find it so i dunno what's up with that.
ps: make sure to grab the patch from the dev webpage also there's a really awesome text mod Improved Readability Mod By wildpomme in the guide section that is a godsend on the steamdeck.

this is a known issue with this game and linux, was pretty annoying to figure out a fix but protondb helped out just wasn't completely clear what all steps needed to be done to fix the issue.

if nothing else you can just right click to skip the opening i haven't ran into any others and i'm guessing there's maybe an opening and an ending one at most. this also took me a while to figure out since it looks like the game just freezes when you hit that white screen pause.
