30 EUR/USD game sold at 60 + DLC by the publisher (FuRyu).
The gameplay is good, but it is very sparse. I honestly think it is even shorter and more sparse on gameplay that Sword Art Online Last Recollection, also from the same studio (AQURIA).
It is mostly a megaman-esque game with action RPG mechanics and dodging importance, with a lot of story.
It is very narrow in its target audience in its story theming (heavy shoujo-ai, girls love) as well.
Definitely wait for a heavy discount, 50% off or more. And this is coming from me, who loves the game(s) (SAO LR and CRYMACHINA) for what they are.
I think even people who will like the game will see its asking price and give it negative points for that alone too. The game should have not sold at that price at all, even if it is good IMO.
I like what AQUIRIA had done with the idea and the game has hallmarks of their design, but it is abundantly clear the budget/time just was not there. Hence the game is mostly linear and short, which I would describe as its biggest shortcomings.
I love the game and the developer, AQURIA, but even I cannot and will not deny its terrible price/gameplay ratio.
20-30 USD/EUR experience, not 60.
I think, if other people will criticize the game, it would be precisely for this reason alone, its asking price.
I suspect that is why the Steam page is very vague about its description and why there was no PC demo. FuRyu/NISA (the publishers) want people to buy the game and not return it, in order to maximize profits on a title they know is for a very specific niche of people.
Namco Bandai had known Sword Art Online Last Recollection would sell regardless of if a few people won't like the game, because SAO is a popular IP, hence they provided a demo, even for PC.
Personally I love both CRYMACHINA and SAO Last Recollection (+ its devs, AQURIA), but the shortcomings people have with it are valid and indisputable. I fully expect this game to get mixed reviews for the reasons I listed, just like SAO Last Recollection.
