After some initial bounce off of the 3rd dimension in Creeper World 4, I got really into it and it is just such a huge game. After the campaign, take a look at user generated maps, you can play as creeper multiple different ways, play in first person view and be the cannon etc.
So I really recommend Creeper World 4 over 3.
Whether IXE is a good game is a question of taste, but it is not representative of the creeper world series.
I am waiting for the sale tomorrow to buy the first two.
CW1, CW2. CW3. Particle Fleet, CW4. CW:IXE
Also, I consider IXE to be a hybrid of CW2 and Particle Fleet's play styles.
