Problems with Acid
When trying to break through a large metal interconnected frame, dropping acid onto the metal will sometimes spawn acid on the far opposite side of the metal frame, hundreds of meters away. I'm reporting this as a bug. It definitely has some odd behavior.

The first couple of drops do the initial damage, the rest will roll away. You have to turn it on and off quick. It falls faster out of the bucket head than it does damage.

And it does appear to also be carried by water as well, but the problem I'm seeing is when I drop some in the upper right hand corner of a structure and then in the far bottom left, holes start appear in less than a few seconds. It appears to be a bug, because there's NO way it could flow from where I dropped it to where it ends up. I've tried creating acid traps to ensure it only goes where the land isn't blocking it, but it doesn't appear to be working that way.

Curious if someone else can test it on the Arcturus system with the Enigma mission. Drop some acid on the upper right hand section and see if it migrates to the bottom left hand metal frame

Tested it. Acid dropped straight through the metal. It would only flow to the side if there was some water or dirt for it to slide around on.

TY. I think the best way to prevent "leakage" is to create a land buffer to prevent it from seeping through.

I've had luck doing this. You can also use your shield building (hold tab and then dig to make shield) and that's more controllable for shape and you can fill that vessel up to direct it more.

I've also noticed the acid not always nicely burning down. Sometimes bits of it skid over the metal before burning into it. In the end I did it by mopping up all but a single pixel of acid, and once that was through, mopping that up as well.

i think if there is creeper in the container you are melting that they can crawl over the acid therefor moving it quickly to the other side/bottom. So even if no water it can still be transported. that's my interpretation anyways. So far i have only seen it fall straight through. who knows, maybe the creeper even know to move it so they get multiple exits to swarm from and in doing so turn the tables back on you.
