Help with the Elysium / Assault Level
Not sure how to get passed this level. I can see that this level has lava and water and acid (pity I have not come across any tutorials or manuals which say what chemicals mix well, or are effective with one another, other than the creeper eater one - which in my opinion does not work really well). UPDATE ON CHEMICAL MIXES: Thanks for this tip @BoneGrundle! Legend!)

However, I am still stuck on how to complete this level. I managed to mix the water and sulphur together to create acid. When the acid reached the solid walls/barries, it ate through one of them. This created an access path for those constant little robots to attack the ships. I was able to hold the fort for a while but just cannot seem to get ahead in the level. I also do not have any nullifiers so I cannot kill (or slow down) those the little pac-man creeper emitter looking things.

Anyone got any suggestions or tips on how they completed this please?

Please and thank you.

on the right hand side, there is a menu that shows chemical combinations

It isn't the most complicated, but you can screw yourself up.

Water + Acid then Acid + Pixelium.

You can drop the mix on top of creeponium pockets, otherwise it's a lot of creep to contain. Get the upgrades and tech.

Releasing the lava isn't the best idea to get to pixelium, it can be better to keep the lava for later.

Then the best way (better to learn it this level), is to drop the acid + pixel mix above an emitter, to drop the emitter under where you can ambush it with nullifier. This takes practice, but will serve you magnificently.

Thanks for that BG. That is super helpful, thank you. Any tips on how to get past or beat this level?

First useful tip: Once you have secured the top level, dig around the enemy base. You can set up coil ships right by the phantom emitter at the bottom, and outright remove it as a threat.

Second tip: Ignore the pixelium, just get yourself some acid - make it somewhere where there's solid ground, then dig it back up until you're ready to use it with a duster. You'll need that to access the enemy base.

Third tip: Figure out ahead of time where you want to break into the enemy base from, and set up a chamber above it, sealed with shields. Have your anticreeper generating there for as long as you can while doing other stuff, so that it can support your advance.

Fourth tip: Don't try to break into the room with the bot spawner directly - use a small choke point in one of the other rooms, so that the bots will come to you and you can destroy them. (And remember, AC works on bots as well.)

Final tip: You can dig the 'pipes' containing the creeper formations in the center room, both reducing the density a bit, and allowing you to access the center through the sides.

This sounds great! Thank you for taking the time to explain this in detail. I will give these options a try (not sure how successful I'll be though, there is a lot to unpack here and I am new to this type of game).

Thanks again though, appreciate it!

Thanks a bunch for this. I'll try the water, acid and pixelum. I am still learning how to make and mix items, so your description sounds easy but is always a bit more challenging when actually doing it.

Thanks for taking the time to make this suggestion though, appreciate it! :)

No problem. I will also say... especially if you're new to the series, don't try to rush things. Be patient, and remember that the creeper is a liquid. This comes with inherent weaknesses that you can exploit in most situations - notably, the fact that it doesn't really matter how much is trying to flow if you can cap the opening it's flowing through. (Cryons are actually extremely useful because of this - make a small opening into a creeper chamber, use cryons to hold the opening and gunships and defenders to start damaging the creeper inside.)

One bonus tip: Your Apex ship has weapons. Pretty good ones, in fact.

Yup, don't rush things.

A huge timesaving tips too. Before releasing liquids, or opening a creeper pocket... use the save system. It saves me a lot of frustration.

Good tips! Noted!
Thank you.

Something nobody mentioned yet is that you can combine water+lava to create stone. You can use that to dig through the lava.
(It doesn't even matter much probably where you drop the water, if you dig the generated stone off the level of lava will drop and you get access to the little room anyway.)

I have nothing more to add, except THANK YOU for stating the map node name. The idea that we remember/bother to check behind every map node for the map people ask about is annoying.
