true but i have this game on the 360,plays real good with a controlller. reeally wanted it again on pc.
in the end not having a pad is the best. leave those for games like dynastywarriors.
but if you insist on finding a way i reccomend getting a copy of xpadder. if you dont know what it is it will allow you to map the keys of your controller and assign them to keyboard and mouse keys. from there its up to you to bind the correct controlls to the pad buttons and allow controll over the mouse via a joysick with 2 modes, a snapping mode so when you stick is centre so is your cursor, stick top right cursor top right, or by simply down moves cursor lower right moves it further right ect.
but use the mouse
edit: saw you above post and i also played on both xbox and pc, the mouse works best ^_^
how does this run on pc...better then on the 360...is there graaphic settings. i might pick this up anyway.
i think the main thing to poin out here is, sacred like many other games in similar positions are designed for PC not the console, the consoles are the money grab part of it all. but like all things its impossible to recreate the gameplay properly on them. and that is why we end up with games dare i say like sacred 3 and dungeon siege 3 as companies realise the control sceme that is necessary for a isometric game in this style is unachieveable on consoles due to controll restrictment.
i will point out that the online side of the game shut down years ago but is still doable via LAN programs aka hamachi and so on.
all in all if you enjoyed the gameplay then this is the game you loved as the devs intended it
very true on the sacred 3 issue...why did they do that with that game??? but thx...sounds like a game i need to get.
yeah...awesome...there is always a issue when the devs decide to leave stuff out...worked so well on the 360//ps3 and i dont get why they just didnt add it.
I'd prefer controller support still, but you can tell after playing for a few hours that kb/m support is what this game was built around.
Get the community patch 0160 and download Hamachi. We can get 5 people together and start playing this gem online again.
As far as why Sacred 3 sucks, Ascaron, makers of Sacred 1 and 2, are no longer around, so whatever has been done to the series is someone else's fault. Or, in other words: Sacred 1 and 2 are great games... it's just a shame they never made any more of them.
