Sacred 2 Gold

Swirling Mist of Miasma in Sacred 2 Fallen Angel
I killed the Swirling Mist of Miasma in the very first battle with it -- quest shows defeated it. and green checked. Thus, it appears that I cannot trigger fights 2 and 3 with it. Because of this, although I've completed absolutely every quest in the swamps and Chapter 6 and defeated the other bosses, I cannot trigger the lizard repairing the pipes on any of the other places so that he can show me the entrance to the caves that transition from Chapter 6 to Chapter 7 in the desert. Any ideas?

Did you try going to the 2nd area where you have to gather the flowers? Also open the log with the L key and try left clicking on the quest line, seems to set things in motion for me sometimes. I have to do this sometimes on the Blind Guardian quest line. BTW I'm using the vanilla steam version no CMpatch.

The main quest should point to another location. The three fights are in different places. The Mist is "defeated" every time, but re-appears there again.

I did all of the above before resorting to this post. I have a tendency to go all over the map without worrying about roads, so I tried doing it the "civilized" way by going from point to point from each glowing blue pipe spill to each area to trigger the event, with no luck --- killed a lot of irritating critters that got in my way, but that was it. I'm doing the vanilla steam version as well. I ran into a few bugs trying to spawn the boss dragon I had to kill in Chapter 5 so I could move on, also, so I guess patience is the word -- not too good at that. I do love this game. It helps a lot to know that the mist spawns even if you defeat it the first time,, so the post did some good. Thanks, guys.

Well, turn s out that it's a bug I've run into several times while playing this game -- the difficulty getting a cave entrance to spawn where it's supposed to be. I've got great NVidia graphics, but my gaming PC is a 2018 Alien, so don't know if that's part of the problem. When I figure out that a cave has to be in the spot I'm wandering around, I often have to just keep my arrow in the general area until it happens and that was the case here. All of a sudden, I was in a cave that sh owed up out of the blue! That's what can happen when you don't use a guide and prefer to figure it all out on your own.. This old woman started RPGing with the original Myst and Tomb Raider games way back in 1996, so I've been doing this a long time -- maybe I shouild start using a Guide and crawling along with that. Nah.

Your pc from 2018 shouldn't be a problem for a game from... 2009?
Some kind of screenshot might have helped, since I never had a cave not spawning in place, that sounds highly confusing. Also I would have liked to the whether the golden arrow on the compass for the main quest has vanished when the Mist was missing. But I only play with the community patch which is supposed to fix a lot of bugs.

I don't have the golden arrow or quite a few things I've heard mentioned. I didn't patch it, just am using it as downloaded. I've found a few aggravating bugs but not enough to ruin the game play. I've been playing this game long enough to recognize when something is missing. The main problem is the disappearing caves. I'm a grinder from way back ---learned to concentrate battling enough enemies to rack up points so that I'm about 2 levels beyond most of the enemies in an area before I start questing. Then, by the time the boss fight comes up, I've usually racked up another level and have no problem. Since I'm one of those folks who covers every inch of the map and every quest, I get the most out of it I can. In hindsiight, I should have downloaded the community patch. Now I'm wondering what other bugs I may not have found. Ah,well. I do use the map religiously.

Did you verify your game files through Steam?
If you want to keep your character and stuff just change the difficulty on the load character page to another one and restart the game, save then change it back to the one you was on. This keeps your levels, stuff, and all your selections at level up times but restarts the game, at your current level you can just run past all the common enemies till you get back to the swamp, you just have to do all the story quest again till you get there.

Just a clarification: The golden arrow is nothing to be downloaded. On the compass at the middle bottom screen there is a golden arrow showing in the direction of the main quest, as well as there is a golden circle on the map where the main quest lies. I just wondered if those are gone, too, since the Mist wasn't there.

Sorry, just seeing this. I did finally realize that, since this was illogical, that I must have missed just one small step in the process, to trigger what I was missing. Sure enough, when I retraced step, I found that I had missed one small thing that was supposed to lead to the lizard companion and once I triggered him, the other battles with the miasma showed up, as did everything else. I'm usually so thorough, but not using a guide does get me in trouble sometimes! That being said, the little golden arrow is nowhere to be seen. The main quest, however, does s how up in a circle in the map. I just need to keep channeling my inner Spock and find the logic!
