Hi ^^

I spent a lot of time. A lot of xD to configure Sacred 2 propetly, install "Sacred 2 Community Patch" and some extra, but mostly on get rid of crashes and looking for everything. Also i wanted to change my camera setting to see wider and further. And i did it !!! Yey ^^


I decided to help you with creating one file "zip" with everything you need, step by step to start playing Sacred 2 Gold Edition without problems and stress =)



What have i done and what this file contains :



- optimalization for windows (when app won't start and get rid of crasches !!!)

- "Sacred 2 Community Patch"

- "Sacred 2 Enhanced Spells Mod 1.4"

- "Reduced Fog Mod"

- camera settings

Notes : Pleas do this guide after fresh instalation of Sacred 2 Gold Edition (uninstall game, delete files like "Ascaron Entertainment"

in "C:\Users\'user name'\Saved Games",

"C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local"

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common" -> delete "Sacred 2 Gold"

and in registry - run regedit as administrator find "[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\" and delete "Ascaron Entertainment" !!!!



Sacred 2 Elite Texture - You don't want it and don't need it with Gold Edition version ! =)




To start a game when app won't start :


- go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sacred 2 Gold\system" and create shortcut of "sacred2.exe" on the desktop.

- go to properties -> compatibility -> "Program Compatibility mode", set to "Win XP Service Pack 3" and "like administrator" - use this only to run game first time, to create option files

- close the game

- go to properties -> compatibility -> and uncheck everything =) Important !!!!


Now you can fix it and also fix crashes doing one simple thing :


- press "windows key + R", type there "%appdata%" go back to "AppData" and go to "\Local\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2"

- open "options.txt"

- use "ctrl + F" to find and change this parameters and chenge them to this value :

animMem = 1,
grannyMem = 1,
pmsMem = 1,
secMem = 1,
sptMem = 1,
texMem = 276824064,


enableMobilitySupport = 0,
mgpu = 1,
staged = 0,

- go to shortcut properties and in Target add this " -skipopenal -nocpubinding" (without ") like - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sacred 2 Gold\system\sacred2.exe" -skipopenal -nocpubinding

- In game - don't change graphic settings !!!! Important !!! They are high, so =)

Thank you for the answer ^_^ I should add an information that mods are from your site and they are created by Flix, sorry for that. I can only tell you that I downloaded mods from your site without any changes inside files. So it will be exactly the same =) Whole this .zip file contains original files but i sorted it and i added instrucions/modify them ^^

All I was trying to get at while being angry is that the download link of the author is not safe it was flagged with ransomware during installation and I was feeling rather stupid for giving it a chance in the first place I'm giving up on this game running and should be the last you will hear from me on the matter

There is no ransomware on the CM Patch link, and if there was any problem with the download all you needed to do was to give a shout out to the admins. The CM Patch does have a couple of .EXE files so false positives are very easy to be triggered.
