Sacred 2 Gold

seraphim looks
The Seraphim looks like a slut. I want to play as a paladin, but I just can't get past the running around in skimpy clothes and heels. It seems ridiculous. I don't suppose there is a way around this?

There is a single full armor set for the Sera:
http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Seraphim_Ancient_Set

Everthing else is more... revealiing. Because sex stills sells. Look at most of the Sacred 2 let's plays on youtube, 80% Searphim. >.<

Try the Shadow Warrior, his armor is mostly heavy and spiked af.

Or try the Dryade, she has some more armored options:

Or ask around at darkmatters.org, maybe there is a mod to always have a certain armor visible.

The attack of the Sera is more like a dance then an attack xD

You mean the regular attack? Nah It's pretty much the same as the SW. So is Pelting Strikes with dual wield.

The variety of combat arts with the SW is way better thatn the seraphim. With my Seraphim I basically only use pelting strikes and Soul Hamemr. With the shadow warrior, the buffs are better, and I used a mix of augmenting guideon, belligerent vault, scything sweep and a bunch of others.

Doesn't the Sera have a lot more cool offensive magic attacks than the SW though?

Everyone has the same amount of combat arts and it depends on what you deem "cool". The Shadow Warrior is a warrior by name, so he shouldn't have much magic abilities by default.

Two out of three combat arts trees of the Shadow Warrior are focussing at combat; the last one is more or less focussing at magic, but then the more dark side of it. Think of summoning skelletons, using spectral hand and more of those.

The same idea is more or less used for the other characters; with exception of the High Elf, which is a pure mage.
The Seraphim, Inquisitor and Dryad all got one physical combat tree and two magical combat trees; of which one of the Seraphim is based at offence and one at defence.
For the Dryad, one is focusing at nature lore, while the other one is more focussed at darker magic and disease. I've never played an Inquisitor or Dragon mage, so can't tell about that.

As for "cool" spells, two of the Seraphim spells are shown in the intro video of the game. However, those spells will take time before they run at their full potential. If you plan to do a magic character, I think starting with a Pyro-HE would be better.

Thorin :)

I really wish for the Battle Mage from the first game. Magic and melee

I prefer the characters from the first Sacred a lot more.

The Inquisitor has also one for meele and two for "magic", which is divided in I would say "raw power" like a lightning fan, pushing around enemies and reflecting damage, the other is torture... crippling the body and ripping out souls. Very fitting for an Inquisitor.
The Dragon Mage is almost pure magic. One tree for transforming into a dragon and releasing blazing fire, one for wind and earth magic and one for spiritual magic like a Mind Strike, and Combar trance.

Why not the Inquisitor or the Seraphim? Both are excellent at both?

I loved the Gladiator from Sacred 1... mainly for his voice actor which was in german the same as the one for Bruce Willis. :D And his Back-Breaker. Probably the least efficient Combat Art there ever was, but the most funny. xD

Gawd I loved the Gladiator. I would drop my seraphim in the blink of an eye if the gladiator was back in Sacred. He would have to have the same voice acting, same bulky animation and basically everything else. (I know there's a mod that brings him back to Sacred 2 but I don't really care for it).

This is definitely possible.

You could mod the game yourself , for instance use the Dryad and replace everything with the Seraphim Combart Arts etc. (The Dryad looks much more "normal").

I am not sure about the Armor Sets... those would have to be manually be changed, to be allowed for the Dryad.

I replaced some stuff myself in the past.
