How do I properly install the Community Patch? [FIXED]

Everytime i try to install it, I get "software not found Sacred 2 Fallen Angel 2.65 x could not be found on your system or is wrong version (Ice & Blood v 2.65 x needed)"

Don't know what I am doing wrong, can anyone provide any help?

Edit: I got it to work by reinstalling, I installed generic mod enabler with wardust serious textures first so maybe that was it.

In that case it should prompt you to choose the path where Sacred 2 is installed. Nothing simillar showing up?

That error always comes up right after I choose the sacred 2 directory. Would I have to uninstall it?

my hard drive died on me so had to reinstall everything and had a similar issue trying to install this to use with SGEE - turns out that I needed to make sure there were no mods enabled in GME before I could get the community patch to run properly. which, honestly I'm sure I read about the first time but I've a memory like a gold fish! anyway, no need to re-install, just de-select all mods in GME first and then run it. Should work fine :)
