Sacred 2 Gold

Sacred 2 Gold

"Ice & Blood" questions. (Answered)
1. Do I have to wait until I finish the main game to start the expansions, or do they work like DLC's and I can start them at any time?

2. When I start the game, I get a screen telling me about the expansion, and one of the last lines is something saying that it costs a small fee. What does that mean? Is it referring to the in-game money?

1. Ice & Blood does add two more regions to the world map. You can visit them as soon as you are able to travel by ship. There is nothing to unlock by finishing or paying. (and you get an extra char)

2. Oo I will just start Sacred 2... but there is no fee or monthly costs or anything to pay within the game or extern to keep your Asson.

Edit: Nope, don't see the line you mentioned... can you make a screenshot of this?

It's the last sentence in the last paragraph. You'll have to zoom in to see it.

Oh, THAT. :D

Actually every captain can travel you to (almost) any port in this world. I really don't know wether there is a fee or not, but if, it is so small you won't notice it. At least I don't notice any shrinking of my millions of gold (it's not bragging, you'll get more money than you will be able to spend in this game).

So yes, it is reffering to ingame money only and there is a high chance it is just flavor text.

So no real-world money involved at all?

correct
I have this game for 15 years and haven't payed anything but the buying cost. ^^

Great. My worries are relieved. Thanks for the information.

The game was originally released in 2004, and it wasn't on Steam at the time.
Now we have something strange. Wikipedia dates the game back to 2008:
"The PC version was released in late 2008, the console versions were delayed until 2009 with the discs being pressed in April 2009 for a May release,[8] in April the developer, Ascaron, went into administration citing the extended development as the reason."
But I too have memories of playing this game before AND there was a 10 years anyversity patch from the community some time ago (last year?). So I am pretty sure this game is older than 2008! Oo

Okay, just checked Wikipedia, and it turns out that I was thinking of the first game, which was released in 2004. However, the retail release of both games pre-dates their release on Steam.
