Devourer obnoxious.
This game was really fun up until the Devourer escape sequence. The first couple of attempts were tense, but I've died so many times to the Devourer that any sense of tension has evaporated and now this is just frustrating.

WTF is the strategy for this thing?

Yeah, so I get to the vent and start crawling into it and the Devourer pulls me out and stomps me.

Just do it.

Don’t miss the drink at the beginning of the sequence that will allow you to regen your stamina to sprint even faster. My strep when I’m running out of stamina, it’s to walk for the regen (not the choice, anyway) and run as soon as I have a little stamina to win some steps and so on. Then, it’s up to you to optimize to take the path as much as possible.

I wish Jodie had some Nike's for this sequence.

Yeah, this chase sequence is certainly my least favourite part about the game.
There seems to be no 100% safe way to do it.
When I run almost without pause + energy drink, take the correct path, sometimes he is right behind me and I have no chance of getting in the vent unharmed.
Or he just throws stuff at me that I can't avoid, because I don't see it coming.
Other times I calmy walk certain sections of this area and he never catches up to me ...
Seems kinda random sometimes.

There is energy drink at shelf near the start, you have basically one chance to use it. You need to reach a place where there is a vent covering near the end - before this sequence I didn't even know those could be removed and it looked like a deadend.

her blogs don't run nike ads, too controversial for them to sponsor

That happened to me the first time. When you get into the vent, you have to keep pushing forward, she doesn't crawl through without your input. I didn't know this the first time and was pulled out since I'd assumed she would be safe in the vent. You can imagine the surprise when I was pulled out of what felt like a safe haven having died quite a few times before making it that far. I nearly had a heart attack.

I wish I had the energy to upload a youtube video for you. There's a certain routing that I do (outside of doing skips) that has around 90% success rate.

It involves sprinting like hell then waiting at a distinct spot (until I hear the devourer destroy 2 walls in the distance), walking a little bit, waiting again until I confirm devourer is completely behind me, then burn stamina and the stamina drink all the way to the vent.

what i want to know from where he is coming? (i mean we know how) like storywise and or from immersion point, like there is no hole in a wall from where he comes or a door what was closed before and in this room was a cage where he was traped or something like this,he is just there, would be nice if the devs later have some time,to bring this up.

The Devourer has a mutated metabolism and an incredibly accellerated growth cycle. So he climbed up to the room adjecent to the shower through the hole Jodi subsequently jumps down as a smaller Devourerling. His growth spurt kicked in moments before he burst through the wall. Having experienced the rapid growth spurt just seconds before, his nervous system was overloaded with incredible pain. In this state he lashed out at anything in reach and at this moment he saw the only other moving being, Jodi standing naked in the shower. When Jodi narrowly evaded his attempt to smash her, his killer instincts kicked in and the chase began.

I've read it like a fanfic and I was expecting a different kind of twist at the end lol
Yeah, that devourer escape sequence is absolute junk, there isn't any strategy, it's just terribly desinged. Those are very hard to properly design tbf and require massive amount of playtesting. Devs should just cut it.
Just try it again and again, you'll get lucky, just make sure there is something solid between you and devourer. You'll get it done.
But don't you worry, it's gonna be much MUCH worse after that. You'll be a fan of it for sure.

Hm, strangly i had now problems running from him, yeah you will die a few times, wich is okay, try to figure out how he works etc.
Took me some time to figure out that you have to open a Vent and crawl into it.
