Suggestions and Ideas
Challenge maps are probably the best part here. I do like the campaign but I mostly got this game to hop in and play for a bit, then move on to something else. Campaign is fun and scary too, but the map is a maze and sometimes I just don't have the patience for it. So, here are some suggestions just to keep things fresh.

-Workshop support for new maps and modes.

-Zombie Wave Mode; you start at a point with a count down, with a flood of zombies behind you. No weapons to speak of. The objective is to jump, run, and vault your way from point A to B to escape. The map could be a busted up building where falling will kill you. Maybe working your way up, jump over cracks and holes, making it to the roof and using a plank to cross to another building. There you could get a weapon to defend the point and that would be the end or maybe you can keep working your way down to escape. I like the first idea better, so there is a big finale at the end. Or maybe a cutscene to setup a timer just so you can set mines and explosives so you can defend the point. I got this idea from the old counter-strike source days with the zombie escape maps. With the ai of the game, I assume that zombies will have to despawn and respawn closer, but the idea of these guys trying their best to get you and falling all over the place sounds cool and scary.

-Defend the Base Mode; much like the ending of the campaign, you'll have to setup a good defense, board up some windows, put down some mines and defenses, and hold out as long as you can.

-Online Co-op; maybe Jodi has a twin? Be fun to play with a friend.

-More Weapons; grenade launcher, spear, AK, crossbow, that one guy who really wants a katana? I think the weapons are fine but I can see why someone would want more.

-King of the Hill; not quite like the multiplayer version of this mode but what if you were in a flooded town near a dock, shipping containers stacked on shipping containers, pouring rain, and distant buildings and trees on the horizon. Just you and the zombies climbing towards you from the rushing water below. You'll need to stay higher than them and watch the water level as that slowly rises too. Once the timer ends, the helicopter will rescue you.

-Deadly Escape Room; no zombies, just deadly traps. Take your time, move around slowly, and avoid the traps. Each check point provides health. No rushing around or blowing anything's head off. Just patience and using brain power.

-Blizzard; stuck in a northern base, you'll need to collect and find warm clothes to move from base to base, dealing with the harshness of the cold outside. Once you make it to the fifth base, you'll have to survive the approaching wave. Think of it like this, you prepare yourself looking for equipment. Maybe each base provides a different challenge. All going towards leaving to the next one. The harshness of the weather is punishing and each base is that much further. By the fourth base, you'll need all the gear to make it to the well supplied fifth base and your way to survive out the winter.

-Acid Rain; finally making your way out of the basement of a old warehouse, you'll need to find equipment and make it out towards the truck. The catch is that the rain will hurt you over time, so even though you can see the truck, you know you won't make it. So, you'll have to find a route using the roof, hanging pieces of the building above, and rooms to avoid the rain to get to the truck. But as you work your way through it, you'll also have to avoid the things lurking in the dark. The challenge here is to really think of the best route to take. The zombies change each time and some of those times, you won't have the equipment to deal with what is in the way. This map will force you to plan ahead to survive.

-Gravity Well; in this place, the gravity is acting a bit funky and everything in this area is being lifted into the air. Jump your way through all the obstacles and make it as high as you can without falling, walking carefully and avoiding anything wanting to eat your face.

-Company of Zombies; you are stuck against the militia and the only tools you have are the command station to open up the heavy doors, allowing the zombies in. This map is mostly just for goofing around. Think Gary's mod. A whole panel of buttons to push and levers to Krunk. All with unique and fun outcomes for the playthings below. Here, you are Cesar and you can test the outcomes in your modern Colosseum. Could also be more of a puzzle too. Knowing these soldiers will kill you, so you have to open the right amount of doors so the zombies get them first. Since zombies don't have guns, you can walk above them right out the exit when you are done.

Alright, that's all I can think of. Hopefully these weren't too dumb. Just some of the things I'd like to do in this game.

Please add your suggestions or changes to mine below if you like.

Gross. No, I didn't. Did you happen to actually read any of this? Granted, some of these are out of left field but some would fit in the settings at least.

Also, I'm not saying this is end all be all sort of ideas. Just an idea to spark more ideas.
