2. It is a company building of course many rooms will look the same.
3. Play more, sure a map would be cool but this way you learn and memorize the Building
and the ways arround it better.
But yeah i hope they will maybe when the game is mostly done with all features they can add a little more flair to the world as well. Also the same things about the Appartement i suggestet as well. Also the story could use a bit more meat on the bones.
But this is early access so let's what they will add on the way to full release ande i really hope they will finish the game and not run away when it is half done. Like other developers did.
But for now i am really happy with what i get for the price.
1. it's an indie developer, so i'm sure money's tight.
2. Resident Evil has similar looking rooms as well, and they work well in those games. Especially RE2 with the whole police station having the same feel and vibe as it should.
Admittedly RE2 doesn't need a map so much as this game does need one. RE2(sorry for overusing the game, it's just a direct comparison in terms of gameplay and genre) has smaller maps that require you to backtrack a lot, but changes it around each time something major happens to keep you on your toes. Where as this game has backtracking and section opening that tends to not have much changes, but there are plenty more building in to explore. A map would go a long way for this game if just to help point you in the right direction as i've noticed most of the instructions are vague and leave me fumbling around until i stumble into a cutscene or new area.
some of your criticisms seem a bit rough though.
you got motion sickness from the maze? that's a personal issue, i can't say i've ever heard of someone getting motion sick in a maze. maybe turn off the motion blur if you haven't already. as for collectible hunting i find it kinda fun(personal opinion) getting the collectibles doesn't mean anything, but it's something neat to do. The hard drives open up areas in the 2nd playthrough of the game as well, so those are actually worth getting(might also apply to the first, i just did all the harddrives after i finished).
Yes, I turn off the motion blur, in fact I get a little bit of a bad feeling when playing. Yes, it's personal, but this happens a lot in first-person games, not in third-person.
Yes, it's rare that you come back and something happens in this game, but it's not that bad, because you go back to the same place several times.
I liked improving the items in challenge mode, but that should happen in the game too.
Play more? But the game isn't finished, will it change that much when it's complete?
In my country the game is expensive, 88.99.
But the game being more than two months old and not removing the character's repeated lines in the same place is totally frustrating.
Only the beginning of the game, the demo, is more worked on the scenario.
The Layout makes no sense? Don't know who whould build a Building like that, but to me it is a Game with Fantasy elements not a Architect Simulator of course you take some liberties to make it work gamewise. RE games do the same, since the beginning.
Also i am not against honest critique and of course the game has flaws, nobody with a sane mind should say it hasn't. And i hope the Devs will get rid of as many as possible and deliver an even better product down the line.
But i still don't understand how some people expect a fully developed game on the same level as a AAA Resident Evil game from a Dev team of three people without a budget like the big companies, that is simply not reasonable and has nothing to do with honest or cnstructive critique.
Ah it not good that a Game is so expensive in your Country, but hey you will get more stuff later on, it was said that the story is about 30 percent fininished right now, it is also bad that you get Motion Sickness from it, i hope the devs implement some more graphic options later on so that maybe you can adjust it better and have fun with it too.
With Play more i meant, that the more you play without a map the better you memorize your ways and the layout of the levels. Yes i was thinking oh a map whould be cool, but after running arround the Game for two hours i did not need a map at all because i knew where to go.
Back in the days, almost no game had a map (god i am old) and who know's maybe some day they will implement one. Of course it is difficult to play if you start to feel unwell after some time. Stupid situation right now, i really hope it will work out for you in the future.
The level design seems complicated at first glance but in reality, it is enough to locate the central points of the environment and notice that we always return thanks to the many shortcuts to unlock.
The most difficult is to remember places to explore but as a rule, these are optional areas not essential to finish the level. And for that, we can buy tags to place to find them quickly even if it is true that at the moment, these tags do not seem to work. (Or I have not understood how they work). But once they are operational, it should be enough to get through.
Everything is growing, pretty clear they want to expand on the CC. With more cosmetic options.
For level design it is what it is. Don't feel like I really have anything negative to say about it.
There also using the older UE4 engine. Which is good since if they had switched to UE5. They would messing with that for a couple of years. Just to get back to where they were on UE4. Seen that happen countless times with other Devs in the past.
Wait, really? This is literally the first time anyone has claimed there is an actual obtainable map.
Is it not an actual map in your inventory, but like some wall mural or something?
Or are you just messing with us?
Having played through the campaign a couple of times now, I have practically fully memorized the building layout, so it is not important to me. But, if I missed something, I can not help but be curious.
