There is a number on each of the 4 posters around that area.
They will give you the code for the door. However its not actually needed to open that door there is no real reason to open it.

There is a card key you need to get from the room on the lower level, there is a vent connected to it and a save room on the other side. The card key is needed to open the other doors to progress and get another card key.
