Elevator Control Room?

Trying to adjust elevator settings. Went from Floor B2 to A4 but the Elevator Control Room is shut. Tried explosives on the glass windows which doesn't work. Tried looking for an alternate route - no luck. Anyone know how to get inside the elevator control room?

That's one of the last things that you do before the end of the game (at least, what's accessible at the moment). You'll get access after fighting the new enemy type. You'll know it when you see it because it's introduced in a cut scene and is a substantial fight.

So I met the researcher and then the new enemy type appeared before he told me to go down to reach the elevator. Was there anything else I'm supposed to do? I feel like I explored the entire map.

Never change the floor 4. You can try to switch every levels from the top to the bottom (which the B3 if I'm not mistaken is the generator room to restore the power to the basement r&d facility for the next chapter story).

In the stairwell, you need to get to the very top. There is a door where you use the white key card (the one the researcher gives you). This will give you access. You get tot eh top by using one of the pressure plates to open a door that you need to climb some crates to get to. there should be two spitter type enemies in the room.

Just proceed to the new area. The whole building is just a round loop hole anyway. All you need to do is just go to the other side of the room.

really me too, i gunned down anything that moves, didnt know we needed enemies for that?

I'm also stuck at the door, I killed both splitters now I don't know what to do

i think that preasure plate part is buggy, on my first playtrough i didnt have any zomb to use, next playtrough a zomb came from behind. on the third i had do grab one of the squirters and jump down the platform while holding onto them to use them on the plate. had do shoot of some limbs tho for jodi to let go of the squirter :P so buged it even more for my benefit. + you MUST go trough that door that is locked by the plate in order to get to the elevator control room(finnish the game) no other way

if the bodies are still up there try and drag them to the edge and jump down while holding the body and shoot of the limbs like crazy for jodi to let go
