How do i unlock nightmare castle?

was wondering about the same thing, only mode i have not unlocked. tho i think im close to it...when you go down the elevator to A1 elevator enetrance, there is a vent you can enter and a hallway with corpses hanging in the celing you have to shoot down and place on the preasure plate to open the door, once the door is open, there is a hallway with spears shooting out from the wall and it leads to a door with a button to interact with. but the button dont seem to do anything. dont know if its a bug or not. i see another door inside that room.... but cant find it on the A1 floor anywhere.

im confident the hidden skulls unlocks the halloween gamemode, anyways theres 20 hidden skulls around the level you need to shoot or hit. i got 5/20 not sure what 20/20 does.

ah, you might be right! ty! will try find all of them, have 10/20 atm. just thoght i was on to something with that hallway/room as the spears was similar to that of the nightmare castle mode

I'm pretty sure I got it unlocked by picking up the Pumpkin Doll in the area with the fan you have to roll past.

i picked this up and got to the checkpoint but halloween mode was still locked for me.

edit: nvm upon reloading halloween mode is unlocked. confirmed its from the doll as i still have 5/20 skulls.

The pumpkin doll after the area with the fans (just before they introduce the hiding in a locker mechanic) will unlock it.

I believe its to unlock the lace/wedding dress... I know the coins unlock the white gloves for lace set
