Predators can instant kill you even when you have knife

I dunno whether this is a bug or just crappy mechanics but even when I have a knife the predator will instant kill me, I can have full health and he will just dash at me stab me, I mash the button to stab him and nothing happens, he grabs my throat and just ends me.

Honestly this is a dumb mechanic to even have, no zombie should just be able to instant kill you, especially one that can shadow dodge your attacks, dealing with one is fine, but when you have multiple to content with then its stupid to have them just rush you repeatedly trying to grab you, your character BARELY has mobility when attacking, a pitiful dodge ability that doesn't give you any distance and takes a chunk of stamina to preform.

I feel like this is genuinly a skill issue, since noone else seems to have this problem.

The predators aren't really that much of a threat to be honest so unless you've encountered a bug, it should always be possible to get out the grab with knives. Are you sure you had some on you ?
I also don't see how you've encountered multiple predators at once. In story mode you always fight one at a time. The only way you have more than one is in the latest halloween challenge.
If you still have trouble, like Kath said, you can use a smasher to OS them.
I'm much more annoyed by the witch's scream hitting you miles away or through walls, THAT is bs.

Its in challenge mode, and yeah I had several knives, I tried dodging the first one and then they just grabbed me, I mashed the button as fast as I could because I was pretty far into the match, and he just ended me instantly, the knife didn't come out and he grabbed my throat and that was it. And ya it was the Halloween map, so on top of them I also had to watch out for the grim reapers. Unfortunately I didn't have any smashers.

Oh and yeah you can encounter multiple Predators during story mode too, B1/B2's turning on the elevator power section, the waves don't end until you actually switch all the buttons over, two preds spawn during one of the waves, but with the constant feeding of laser turrets they are much more manageable, honestly its a great farming spot, just run around and collect the monies, top up the turrets, rinse and repeat, so long as you don't finish that last switch on the power it will keep going, though eventually you gotta stop cause it gets more and more risky.

Might be a bug then if you had knives, I never encountered it though. The predators in halloween challenge are even less dangerous, the golden arrows OS them. By the time they spawn, you should already have plenty of arrows.

Never got to the point when I had more than one predator on the tower defense. Most of the time, the turrets melt them before I can even see them and using a smasher can be a good crowd control if you get overwhelmed.

They take most of the fun away when they appear. A critter that's nearly impossible to stop with your regular weapons. There's nothing fun about bullet sponges. It takes 3 mines or the cheaty gold arrows or the brain smasher to take them down.

It'd be better if their weapons could be destroyed, to stop their grab move, so when they block your bullets eventually their blades can break. The balance would be they can still shadow dodge your shots.

I like this proposal, makes the enemy more interesting.

Oddly enough, when you get hit with the charge attack even if your health is basically none existent, press the dodge button (when you get hit by it) and you'll be alive for some reason, it's a glitch (obviously) but i haven hear nobody talk about it, after knowing this the enemy is a joke, even tho I don't find this enemy hard to begin with, but hey, there's that.

Ive never had this happen to me luckily, you possibly inlodged your knife in another zombie before hand and forgotten about it, or you didnt spam the left click

Against the hunter, there is a tip, a shock grenade if you have it instantly kills at any difficulty level this is the second time when the Hunter uses animation directly to you,use A+CTRL D+CTRL

Pred cannot instant kill you if you have a knife which is the one and only way to break out of his charged grabs, however on Hard and Extreme you will be left with a sliver of health and could die from the follow ups. the attack is very easy to avoid and is telegraphed so its just a mater of spacing and then dodge as he is about to lunge forward.

If you were under 50% or 75% health depending on the difficulty then yes the charge could kill you, which is intended, and at that point its learn the telegraph and make sure give ur self enough space to dodge away left or right from the attack. If you dodge backwards or forward well you still gonna get jabbed and take that damage which if your already wounded then yeah your dead. Knife only allows you to break out if you would have survived in initial damage from the lunge damage.

Currently on that part of turning on generators for power, Hardcore first play through. So far I have fought 2 predators by second turbine being warmed up. Its a challenge >:D
So I'm restarting , same difficulty from beginning and managing my equipment MUCH more this time and immersing into it :p
