Do I need to play Strikers before this?
Wondering if Strikers is canon or if it's just a fun knock off. Now that Tactica is out I'm obviously behind (working on Royal atm). I know Strikers doesn't mention or include the new girl so I'm not sure if it's something I need to play or if I should skip it. This one looks more like a story continuation than Strikers does. But I'm not sure

This is set before Strikers, actually, but you should finish P5.

Strikers is a good game on its own so you should play it anyway if you are a Persona 5 fan.

Strikers is actually set in the P5 timeline, a bit after the end of the original P5 (though it fits with royal as well).
This game seems to be more like the dancing and Q games where the story is awkwardly inserted into the timeline and is possibly considered more of an alternate timeline thing rather than an actual canon event. (Could be wrong though)

Doesn't mean anything, Atlus always says every spin-off is canon, even when the story is crap and doesn't make sense.
