Every great murder mystery has a twist, and I definitely didn't see it coming. I loved the big twist at the end.

I really enjoyed the unique POV of controlling two player characters (jackie and Detective Jones) in turn. The characters react to you differently depending on who you are controlling, and you get different levels of access to the circus. I can tell a lot of love went into building the stories for each of the characters, so it was a lot of fun discovering more about each character's backstory despite them all being suspects. A bit heavy on the dialogue but you can always skip through if you don't have the patience. Great art and music, especially the little comic style panels for certain scenes.

Most of your clues will be earned by asking suspects the right questions, and sometimes clues from each location. The game does remind me of Ace Attorney except it's "Contradiction!" instead of "Objection!". I'm just glad I don't get penalised for my wild guesses because sometimes it wasn't very obvious what was suspicious.

One update I liked was the removal of AP cost for moving between different locations (this was present in the demo). There's more freedom to explore and find clues, and just enjoy the game. I actually ended up with too much AP at the later hours but I used it to learn more about the characters and unlock their endings. Do note the endings appear only after the credits, so stick around and enjoy the ending song before that.
