yeah i cant build metro lines underground :/

You can use page up /pg down to bend your line up or down to go underground. Still can't work out how to attach the depots though -it just creates an intersection with just bare dirt between it and my track.

oke thx

I start out with the depot first, then build the track from there. That's worked for me so far at least. Wish I could (figure out how to) build the depot underground though.

metro depots are garbage im sorry to say but its true, you can only make loops not one way and back like in cim 1, paradox im a huge fan of yours if you could fix that after the launch problems i would be great!!!
adisander Apr 2, 2013 @ 12:37pm
Yeah, having to make those loops is a pain in the ass, especially when the part connecting two tracks seems buggy

Metro depots can be build semi-underground. The tracklines for it can be placed underground if you've already laid down metro tracks. The building itself will always pop up above it on street level, though.

Hmm, at least something I guess
Bucketsmith Apr 2, 2013 @ 2:03pm
And yes, making the loops is terrible. I despise that and the depots.

Yeah metro lines are so wonky I may not bother with them. Can't just run from depot to end of line and back, I have to loop it due to no reversable track and crossover.

I put a depot at either end. But, yeah, the tutorial sucks.

Metro's are useless because they're impossible to build with these depots and connecting the different tracks hasn't worked out simple for me. I love the game but metro's are useless in a city like west city downtown

I agree, I can't see Metros being very cost-effective. I guess trams are the best option for long distance travel, with trolleys being the next step. I wonder at what small size buslines are still effective, though. It seems that everytime I try buslines they're too big to be effective.

One of the things I liked about CM1 was the metro (or subway as we call it here) Trying to build them in CM2 is nearly impossible. Sadly I have to give it a thumbs down
