XBox Controller - setting up JoytoKey and using with Tomb Raider 3

My head has blown!

I have searched and found plenty on this topic but each thread seems to have gaps whereby a 'noob' to joytokey like me is just lost! The discussions start off ok but then it jumps to 'all is well' and the person needing help has been 'fixed'!

I really need an idiot guide to get this to work because everything I try just doesn't seem to; starting with joytokey!

Can anyone point me to the correct link that not only helps me map the controller but also how to set up joytokey for an xbox controller.

I may well be asking loads of questions so be careful if you reply. ;)

Thank you. I have tried this on another PC and have gotten a bit closer :D

All the buttons on the xbox 360 controller work, apart from Jump (X) which I assigned ALT.

No matter what I do this one just does not work. I have disabled all controller options via Big Picture Mode but am at a loss as to what to try next.

Any ideas?

Why not just use a steam configuration? Works great that way
