Why put this broken ass version on steam ?
Seriously you're better off playing this game in epsxe with xbox controller , with petes opengl2 plugin and 1080p resolution with texture filtering and shaders enabled rather then this stupid broken version. Why they selling this on steam without patching it , idiot square enix

Yeah, when it comes to old games like this, it's best to purchase them off GOG since they come with patches and fixes all ready to go. Steam just puts games "as is" on their store, and they leave it up to you to apply the fixes yourself.

Not really, the PC version is superior and allows you to play the addon pack for extra levels.

It's not hard to figure out how to apply the necessary patches/fixes by searching google for 10 seconds.

I agree that the publisher should have made a LOT more effort with this (as well as the other TR classics), but if you're a PC gamer there is no way the emulated PS1 version is the best way to play it.

Yeah it should be free
I mean ideally it should be sold and fixed but if it's going to be broken they shouldn't be charging for it

I was so looking forward to revisiting this game, but yeah, what is the point of selling it when you require potentially dangerous patches to be able to actually play it?

Game doesnt work with PS4 conroller, what it shoulkd because steam support this.

Also with m+kb you cant even walk to a edge and then jump while holde the walk button so you dont fall of the edge which makes the game unplayable.

Got it for 1 € on sale and wont refund because maybe the fix it, but basically its trash.

Not the game itself, i love it and played a lot of it back in the days.

So its a shame. I guess it cant be that hard, to make playable with the PS4 controller but well, whatever.

Its a PS controller, and this game is released here on steam, steam support the PS4 controller, so yes i expected that would something a game developer would think of and make it work... the original game was a ps1 game

I had the same issue. Disabled the Steam Overlay for TR2, now PS4 controller works.

I did find it a hassle to download and install the patches for this game to make it work properly, be so nice to have an automated fix like the first game
