Die hard fans will buy FM 25 because they feel they 'owe' them some support in this 'difficult' situation. Even though many of us (including me) have been throwing money there way every single year since the CM days.
FM 25 will not be ready as intended. If you want to buy it for 6 months? play (and probably a broken one at that) be my guest, I won't try to stop you, but I know sure as hell I won't be parting with my cash on this.
I surely won't be throwing a fit if FM25 turns out to be bad. It's just a video game. I can wait for FM26.
Non of us know at the moment, and we've not currently seen anything of worth.
Granted, I'm sure there'll be videos of the game and such to watch, but it's not quite the same as getting to grips with it first hand. I might change my mind nearer the time though, but that'll likely only be if it's pushed back any further. If that's the case, then I'll probably just wait for FM26.
Si never manage to address all thr issues in the game for the winter update, and I suggest this will also be the same.with FM25.
We are highly likely to get a half baked game, but sold at a high price. I'll not buy it, nor FM26 at this rate.
We are very close to end of Jan and not even a hint at things being positive.... sorry, but there's so much for them to do that they can't possibly turn this around.
Good luck to those parting with their money.
i dont care if they implement women football but not at the cost of existing content.
I am not defending SI as per my post earlier, but I am pretty sure International management didn't get cut for women's football. It was a seperate issue.
Hopefully FM26 will be a decent title, but considering what's going on with FM25, I'm not certain. Maybe this time I'll have to wait until FM28. We'll see.
The best thing they could do is just make one "Football Manager" game and then sell yearly database updates, that way players can choose for themselves when to update their DBs. Then make all changes and fixes to that one game so we don't have to go back and forth between getting new features then the year after having them taken away. Also gets rid of the release pressure.
It's pretty much what they're doing already since they remove older versions from all stores, but they're going a really roundabout way with it. Not a design choice I would've made.
It's rather annoying to be honest. Either keep old versions for sale, or have one game.
They remove older versions from stores for copyright reasons. GTAV removes licensed music from the original game for the same reasons.
I do agree with you that they should just do a database update every other year and perhaps some very minor game developments to warrant a dlc. But that's just throwing away money for them so will never happen.
Wish they would sell a version without licenses. In my game are the most known real players gone or do other jobs like Manager.
Sure, nobody has to play a Manager Game or doing sports.
But football can play anybody, even kids. Its not a man's game lol.
Well, because it's fun and because they want to be entertained. Who does that doesn't matter.
I don't watch football at all because I find it boring to watch other people play. Nevertheless, I love football and enjoy playing it, it doesn't matter who my opponents are.
Football brings people together. When it becomes professional, it loses its charm for me. It's just what you make of it. Nothing is right or wrong, it's a game.
If you only play with men between 18-40, then that's your thing and it's not wrong.
Just because a random guy on the Internet says it, doesn't make it "the truth".
But since you say it's "the truth", please provide some evidence.
I know a few. Even been to local women's football games, just like many other people (other men, too).
