If that was something you struggled with in prior versions I’d wait to see how the next patch plays out. Right now the morale and promise system is a little unhinged and can be a problem. I’ve lost my room twice in my save this year and had only ever had that happen once in the past 3 years of FM. I’m pretty sure they said they’re looking into it and hopefully it will be patched soon.
You could also look at Daveincid's realism mod which has just gone into beta
Potentially, the game can be the best game in the series if the highlighted problems are fixed / improved upon, and the promises made prior to release are eventually fulfilled.
However whether SI will put the required time needed to achieve this given their priority lays with FM25 at this point remains to be seen.
A game with a lot of promise, but if not given the adequate time and attention it needs to optimise it, then it could end up being a considerable disappointment.
Definitely wait until the New Year, and depending how much you want to spend on it, perhaps check out reviews following the last major update and make a decision from that.
I do see that set pieces are bugged and everything seems easy from looking at a couple of let's play's (South Shieldss getting into the league?)
I'll wait until it's balanced in the New Year
