Tactics matter?
I have played a few fm managers in the past, last one was fm20. However, just got the fm24 for free on epic now and had a look at fmscout.com which tactics are uselful this year. I dont know but i get the feelin it doesnt matter which tactic you use, every tactic is success (with big team). Is it possible to choose a bad tactic that makes you loose? Ive looked into 20 different tactics, all lead to 97% win when simulated with big team and holiday mode. So i get the feelin i can choose whatever i want and it will succeed. Am i wrong here?

Sounds like you now have progress far enough to consider managing lower leagues. The ultimate formula for success doesn't have to rest on the BEST high attributes team. You can have success with rubbish attributes team BUT using high Gegen pressing, high defensive line, high tempo and overload final third with players and prevent GK from distribution. This seems to be the success formula the FM community agree on.

Also, you can look at "FM Arena" for a plug and play tactic. The top tactic tend to follow the same formula I mentioned above.

The next difficult challenge is how can you create a tactic that is both successful and beautiful .

Usually i start always with low leagues but this time i wanted to help barcelona to get out of their finance hole. Lamin Yamal has 199 PA in my database savegame, so i guess i will try to to build a tactic which makes the most use of him. Of course it would be a big + if the team is playin beautiful football at the same time.

However, was not really my question ^^ Just saw all those different tactics, from 3 defenders to zero strikers and all seem to lead to big success as long you have good players in your team. On the other side i read some coments that these tactics dont work. Is it a holiday simulation thing that all these tactics lead to success but when you actually playin by yourself you can mess it up?

No ideas. I don't even know how to do holiday simulation. Need more experienced player insights here...

I always build my teams so I can watch the type of goal I love.... A floated cross to a Power Tower for a headed goal. It allows for simplicity in going forward

Cycle out of mid, Carrilero on the right side of midfield paired with a bombing WB and a pure right footed winger with nothing but speed/tech/cross who always sticks to the line :) Leaves you with a BWM and a DM style of your choice that should be ruinous to enemy counters. This also allows to skip finding expensive and super-talented BPD for CB's... and a LB of your choice that either supports or defends.... personally I like an inside full back who will end up covering some of the space in the middle vacated by the Carrilero.

Top it all off with an IF on the left wing who has some space breaking acceleration and good first touch.... to sweep up rebounds or hammer home missed crosses. The ball ends up in a steady NASCAR if the IF cant clean up.... it just cycles back until it eventually makes its way to the Right side for your 3 high talent high tech players.... WB/CAR/RW

very cheap to run... allows for shouting at BWM or DM to make specific adjustments for problem creators on the enemy and just generally get involved in the ongoing game...

i prefer BWM paired with a CAR, a rando DM, and a IFB... but really.... so long as that other MC is not a MEZ or someone crazy who ends up in the box you should be fine.... aside from the 3(4) mandatory positions (VERY tall T, RW, CAR, and a progressive/attacking WB) the rest can be mix and match to your hearts content, or just to try weird stuff.

Going on Holiday for 1 day is fine.... but your Assistant Manager then gets the credit for the win and ends up with the rewards. On a winning team it makes it tougher to keep your AM long term if the engine thinks he is winning all the games.

BUT! there is HOPE! in the form of an Instant Result Skin. If you dont want to watch a match on super FFW>> or text, this is a better option than going on holiday.

Tato24 - I play fullscreen on a separate monitor, ultrawide... *chef's kiss*
Wannachup - default UI with Instant Results button
Vincechup - claims to be a lightweight UI that includes the Instant Results... But I either use Wanna or Tato.
