This game is broken
this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥, it does everything to make this game frustating, not harder, its blatantly coding, things are going well, you rotate to avoid injuries and players still get injured, you set tactics you win all of a Sudden players dont listen and do basically the opposite of what you set as instructions to ♥♥♥♥ you over, And people wonder why i say this game is declining its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wank

This game isnt hard, its just filled with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and its blantant scripting of code to ♥♥♥♥ you over when you are doing a little too well with what happens in games so its obvious

FM series has out grown Miles and his abilities i will forever says this from now as the FM has honestly been slowly declining for years now

if you ever managed a real life group of people this is what makes it fairly realistic.
people have personal lives that infiuences them how they behave at work/team etc.
some in real life all of the sudden tony from back office is in a divorce and forgets to file his papers while he always used to do it on time. you tell stacy to start working on that project but stacy got a call from school and had to pick up her kids. now at the end of the day you find out no work was done on the project.

same thing with managing a team....
sometimes the people you manage cant/wont do what you want them to.
and its your job as the manager to play with the cards dealt.

It is broken. I just played the same match 3 times. All the time I lose 0:1. The funny fact is, I get all the time a goal disallowed because of an offsite. I have lot of shots on goal. The XG is always 1,5 or higher but I do not score any goal. The opponent on the other hand does have max 2 shots on goal. So can you please explain what should I do as a manager if in all the statistics I am better than the opposition but the AI just decided I have to lose....

I think the games are the least frustrating part if I'm being honest.

The more frustrating part for me is the artificial difficulty they introduced gradually. For instance playing time through Important player, Regular Starter, etc. You get people constantly asking for more playing time, which is compounded by......

Players wanting new contracts constantly. Your team has players under contract for multiple years but they want to rip up their contracts ever six months for new ones. On top of that they have outrageous demands. Like the want to be seen as an important player, play in a specific position and specific role. Which means you might as well just sell them.

The problem is that you have to constantly rebuild your team because signing these players to the contracts they want would ruin your team.

Now some people will argue that is realistic. Well so would 90 minutes games and only being able to play the game one day at a time so it would take a full year in real life to play a full year in game.

But.... It's a video game that we play for fun. You have to sacrifice some realism to make the game more enjoyable. I like that a match doesn't take 90+ minutes even though it would be more realistic if it did.

Young players who play every match moaning to leave all the time is the worst thing, when they do move to a bigger club they never play, kills the game for me.

When people take off the SI fan glasses and actually watch the game they will see just how terrible this game actually is, but we have no alternatives so we just have to put up with it and hope one day SI get the finger out and actually make a good game but with the way 25 is going so far that is some way away.

THANK YOU the more you play this game the more you notice how bad it actually is its always the players with 200 hours talking the most

without all those difficulties then what would be the point?? its already pretty easy as the AI simply isnt smart enough and you can dominate a league within a couple seasons . player interactions are definitely over-tuned in this version though . I had rafa leao asking for an improved contract 6 months after having asked for one that made him already the highest paid player in my Milan side. Or players wanting to leave my Red Bull team after we had just done a league and cup double because Newcastle of all teams was interested in them?? How is that considered an upgrade? they literally hadnt even made a Europe spot . i think its fair to say this isnt the best version in recent years .

I think what it is, is that you start to see that a lot of the game is smoke and mirrors and that most of what the community believes is wrong.

For instance people believe that injuries can be prevented by rotating players, having a good medical staff, managing fatigue, etc. However if that was the case then the AI wouldn't be able to field a team by the end of the season. Since it's incapable of rotating players and often plays fatigued/injured players.

It's frustrating because these issues have been around for a long time and you would hope that SI would have made some improvements but they seem to unable to make the AI competent in any way.

No it isnt. I spent 12 years doing team sports on highest level, and I do mean HIGHEST level, and what you state, or SI clames is not how things work IRL sports. Nor do they make much sense. It is like OP sayes, all scripted to frustrate the heck out of a player. Call it "hard to program" or sumsuch, I call it ignorance and incompetence.

I think personality ratings play a big factor. Low ambition but high professionalism are a great combination. High ambition players are ALWAYS a poison pill even if a well funded lower league club, and actually its even worse IRL. At least in game you don't have them feeding lip service to lead on fans.

IRL Example: Rebooted Macclessfield had a hotshot AM/S James Berry make a big to do about signing an extension a year or so back and trying to help them climb back up, but then turned around bolted for Chesterfield as soon as they kicked the tires about him, forcing them to sell him for peanuts last season (only 100k when easily worth FAR more). Can have a great young player but if they don't actually care about the club and want to bail to just move up a couple tiers it means nothing.

One of the best pleasures of the game is being able to suggest to players to fire their clown agents who keep pissing and moaning about their client wanting a new contract.
