Why is my players' transfer value always so low?

Title basically says it all but for context: (Also i imported this save from FM23, if that has something to do with it)

I'm playing as VfB Stuttgart in the 2029/30 season. I have won the Bundesliga 6 times in a row, won the CL and got to another final recently. Based on reputation we are one of the best teams in the world and my squad is probably the best in the world too.

The first signing I ever did was Marcos Leonardo for £23M in my first season. He has been superb and easily my favourite player for the save. I just went into 1st of januray 2030, and yesterday in the game (31st of december 2029) he won World best footballer (both awards) for 2029. He also has a huge contract for 4,5 more years (until 2034) on £215,000 p/w.

Last time i saw his value he was probably around £100M, which I already think is quite low for the worlds best player in the worlds best team at only 26. However in the last few games he hasnt been very good and has a 6.9 avg rating and 1 goal in his last 5 games. This made his star rating go down and on progress it looks like he has degressed massively, which he hasn't.

Now his value is £30M (!!!!!!!). CRAZY. £30M for the best player in the world. Does anyone know why this is? A lot of my other players also has crazy low transfer value.

We are not in particular financial trouble, either, rated as secure with £26M in the bank and a whole load of wonderkids waiting to be sold for profit (I broke the world transfer fee to get Haaland this summer because I wanted to be disgusting and win everything before I eventually leave for another club)

Again I'll ask: Why the heck is he worth so little? Not that it really matters, I'm not planning on selling him either way. But it feels so wrong when a bench player for City is worth 3x that.

Update: Just progressed a couple of days and now my star CB is also worth a measly £30M woth 2,5 years left on his contract.

I'm getting silly bids for him which may cause him to get upset ffs

The only thing I can think of is Germany isn’t the most valuable league. I’m pretty sure it goes England, Spain then Germany. This may have something to do with it.

If it helps it’s even worse in France! I’m in an online save and not only am I doing better than all the German clubs also better than the majority of the Spanish clubs, yet there players are valued more than mine and they also have way more money to spend.

There is one thing that might help change the value you see as I am pretty confident the value you see is lower than the value the AI or other humans see.

Takeover a different club and then look at your player values. They will be different and usually higher.

Do you use a DOF for handling trades? maybee he set a fixed price for them because of financial issues? otherwise i´ve never seen such a fluctuation in a few k hours of FM ever ...

Usually its like what "The Hare" said. Its about the League Value. I also have/had like few Players who were the top Wonderkids and so on, and after i soled them for a laughable price into a top league, they jumped in value immediatly. Its something u have to deal with for a time, until you, your Team, your league gets the prestige. Or you can be stubborn with the negotiations. Example: I had a player who was valued at 50-60 mil in the turkish süper lig, but i knew he is more likely a 80-100m Player. So i denied almost everything under 80m, if the player is really intresting/good enough for the intrested Teams, they will overbid sometimes. I managed to sell him for 93m at the end, and as soon as i sold him, his value went up to 124-156m. Just FM things I guess.

Also btw.: The German Bundesliga is one of the easier/better Lagues to get ur Team/Player value up to an acceptable price. Just be persistent, and also, jsut sell them a bit under value sometimes, still worth it.
