Unhappy Players Bug ?

Last version I bought before this year's game was FM 2015 which had this annoying aspect that if you bought a teenage wonderkid you had to play him straight away other wise he'd demand to be transferred and there's nothing I can do to change his mind

With FM 25 this occurance seems multiplied one hundred fold . If a veteran player in his 30s doesn't think he's getting enough paying time he'll demand a transfer even though I promise him more playing time. I'm manager of The Spartans , a part time minor team but managed them to mid table of the Scottish championship. The board and supporters are absolutely delighted with me but almost the entire first team are now demanding transfers away from the club and nothing I seem to do can change their minds

Like I said this is my first version of the game for ten years so don't know how the game has developed in the meantime. Is the unhappy players wanting to leave something that was introduced to make the game very much more challenging and I'm somehow failing to meet that challenge or is it a bug ?
