Do additional transfer fees expire if player sold?

When buying players the additional fees (after league goals, after league appearances, etc, etc) are paid by, and I quote, the player's ''next club'' (aka the buyer) when condition is met.

From my understanding if I was to re-sell that player in the future BEFORE he meets the conditions tied to additional fees then these become void and I will only have paid the original transfer fee correct?

IE: I"m Newcastle and wanna sign Sancho in January because he wants to leave. I got Man Utd to agree to 40M fee upfront plus 88M in add-ons with the intention of using him short term then flipping him for profit before he meets any additional clause requirements.

I'm thinking the way it's worded in the description the additional fees will become null and void once I re-sell him but honestly, after 3000++hrs in FM over the years I've never actually done this so It would be nice if someone with more experience could confirm so I don't have to learn the hard way lol

Any additional fee such as goals scored, after so many appearances etc would become null and void but things like monthly fees etc would still have to be paid
