How does transfer budget work (newbie)?

Hey there,

I'm new into the game and have a question concerning the transfer budget.
If I have a transfer budget of e.g. 40 million and sell a player for 50 million, will the 50 million automatically add up to the 40 million in the same transfer period or will I have to wait until next time and ask for a higher budget?
Because I play Bayern Munich with real world settings and when Pavard was sold the money didn't add up to the transfer budget.

When you get the screen to confirm the transfer, there it will also show how much money of the transfer will be added to the transferbudget. Money will be added immediately after transfer is completed.

Okay, then why I didn't get money after Pavard left? Is it because of the real world settings and I didn't do the transfer myself?
