Players considering options

Why do all my important/talented young players want to consider their options when the contract is at 1,5 year until it's ended? So annoying. I don't want to lose them but also don't want to extend the contract too soon. It's always just before I want to offer them a new contract (after the winter transfer period).

They probably feel to have outgrown the club and want to move on.
You may have the option to renew their contracts when you club's reputation grows.
Otherwise the best option is to sell them before their contracts run out and look for replacements.

Well if you choose not to offer contract early ( you can always make it so it only starts at end of season) you have to sell to get money. That choice is yours to take. Slavery has been abolished in most countries.

Put yourself in their shoes if you are a soccer player would you stay in a small un important club if you are good enough that you think bigger club would want you?
