Lagging all of a sudden in menu and in match

i7 12700f, GTX 1660Ti, 32GB RAM at 144hz @ 1440p. Ever since last week the game has massive frame drops and is laggy in both the menu and in game. Notably on the tactics screen i get 35fps, fixed, no matter the resolution. Tried all the troubleshooting nothing works just wondering if anyone else has this issue.

my troubleshooting would be get a new GPU.

entry level gpu in 2023 are 91% faster that may help.

It was fine on launch no issues then recently performance took a nose drive.

things that are 5 year old sometimes break down maybe it got stressed and something small some memory part or something else failed

I had memory breaking suddenly on few pc and stuff start getting very choppy not saying it's definitely the case but if you tried a lot of troubleshooting and nothing worked it "could" be the case

only way to test it would be try with a similar gpu or put your gpu on another pc and try run the game there. No much else you can do to test hardware.

It isn't my GPU. Performance is the same in every other game, in much more graphically demanding ones.

The fact you are not willing to accept that it can be your gpu make me understand you won't fix it anytime soon a little bit more open minded would go a long way to fix your problems good luck i am done here.

If it was my GPU i would be suffering from performance issues similarly in other games. I don't. It is working completely fine. Only FM has recently changed out of nowhere. "Buy a new GPU" is not a good suggestion. I suspect it is some kind of driver change/game setting that has tweaked some kind of vsync/high framerate/drop issue but i'm not sure.

I have the same problem. I also had this before FM 23, but then I thought a solution was found via stream. but now everytime i start my 2nd match when i start the game the problems pop up.


I also play Formula 1 Manager and I have no problems with this game

For the record, I have the same problem, and of very recent vintage, and my own machine is only a few months old, and is state of the art.

It's not graphic card, you can play this game on integrated graphic cards. On 1660ti can watch 3d matches at very high without problem

Try to clear cache in preferences and then reload skin, in your graphic card driver set min 60 fps and max 140 fps for fm24, exclude fm24 in antivirus

My laptop is 1 week old and was fine up until the update. Now it lags in the main menu.

I just done the update tonight and it is only my match play that stutters, I used a Macbook pro M2 2022. Didn't use to do this prior to update and I only use 5 leagues and have nothing running in the back. So frustrating - hopefully they fix this soon rather than later

I solved this issue by using Riva Tuner Statistics Server (MSI Afterburner) to cap my framerate at my monitor refresh rate (144fps).

try to change your monitor hz from 144 hz to 60 hz i think that will solve the problem
