As for quality of chances: if you play possession based football low crosses will work wonders. In 9 out of 10 cases I'd advise against mixed or floated crosses. Work ball into box is self explanatory. Tempo also plays a big roll. Once again I suggest to go into the stats section and analyse your shots. More often than not it's just a BBM who for whatever reason tries long shots whenever he has the ball. That can be fixed with Player Instructions.
Thanks man, new to it so ill try your advice, Reward given.
To many fouls could also be a sure sign you got your pressing intensity to high, but keep in mind its also linked to mentality. Nothing wrong at all in pressing less once you understand mentality and tempo. My teams play cautious or defensive, press less and pass more direct with high tempo, goals on counter attack are insane. .
You are right but from my experience excessive fouls and bookings is almost never a result of get stuck in. If you offer to much space for the opponent too exploit you force your players to commit fouls. I'd first look into the shape of my team in transition/without the ball.
With any team that is aggressively pressing, I'd always go for get stuck in too. It's very strong and has been meta for many years now.
