Updates Not Installing Correctly "Disk Write Error"

Every time there is an update to the game it downloads automatically but then gives an "Disk Write Error" and I cannot run the game.

The only solution I have found is to fully uninstall the game and reinstall it. It then works fine but it is frustrating to have to go through this routine every time a small patch is pushed to Steam.

I'm on MacOS and will clarify this is only happening to FM24. Multiple other games update an run just fine.

Anyone else experiencing similar?

Hello, if you're on a Mac and are seeing this error, in some instances it will be due to a permissions issue and you need to allow full disk access to Steam. To do so, follow these instructions:

- Go to System Settings
- Select Privacy & Security
- Select Full Disk Access, click the + and authenticate
- Go to Applications, Steam, then click "Open".
- Ensure the button is over to the right next to Steam in the apps list to indicate it allows full disk access

Hi, I have the exact same problem. Every single one of the 50+ games I have currently installed work fine; I have had every fm since 2011 installed through steam on Mac. Are you seriously telling me that this is a problem with Steam and not the game? And that the fix is to somehow make my computer more vulnerable by granting full disk access? Something is not right here.
