Too many goals per match + too many goals from long shots?

Hello i currently play in the second division of Greece, i am on my third season and i noticed that first of all too many goals are scored per match (i had over 5 goals on more than 7 matches on the last season) plus i also noticed that i concede too many goals (conceded more than 3 goals with 0.5xG on more than 3 matches on my last season) from long shots outside of the area from players that have max 12 long shots.

The match engine is broken and this is a significant issue. Miles and the SI team seem to be either ignoring this or pretending it's not happening as it doesn't fit the narrative of their "love letter."

The match engine is very buggy and broken, the more you watch the games the more you see it. Stats of players seem to be irrelevent in the match engine, 30 yard blasters constantly scored against you, check the player stat...long shots 7, AI wingers running at your defence 5 seconds later same winger has run 60 yards back caught your speedy winger and put in a great tackle won the ball bk, check stat of player, work rate 7, tackling 4 (plus he was tired at start of match???) Its very strange and really annoying, It makes you think its down to if your tactics are wrong in some way the engine will do anything to determine the score regardless of stats or player condition.

I think they for years now have been mainly working on FM25 since it will be radically different from previous versions.
Already 6-7 years ago Miles said that from FM 25 watching a match in FM would be like watching a match on TV. So they had already started on the FM25 engine at that time (Think its was in 2017 he said it). And they have probably been mainly focusing on the new game engine since then.

100% agree, I'm with Brescia in italian Serie B and results are a joke, very often there are 6-7-8 goals in a match when in reality there are 0,1,2, sometimes 3.
This is because players attributes values are not respected at all, for ex players with 9 in shots and 9 in finalization too they score from 25 metres with regularity, absurd; at the same way passes are very good despite players have no high values in pass, and so on for all players for all attributes, my CF with 11 in finalization scored 18 goals at the end of the season!!!

Players do not do what you ask them, team do not do the tactcic you ask them and opponents all play more or less the same way, it seems to watch an arcade for a 10 years child

Every match there's at least a post or a crossbar

My 2nd coach tells me to substitute a player because he gave all, after 20 mins........!!!!! I can assure he was not tired at all, or to substitute a player because he's at one yellow card from suspension!!!!!! WTF ;)

Dialogues: they complain for everything even things i cannot control or if they do not play in their preferred position, even if they play well for ex a right footed as inverted full back positioned on the left; players on loan are called back to their teams where they do not play if you don't make them play in their preferred pos too......but i mean, at least you are playing regularly here no???????

Opposition: they do nothing even if they're losing, always playing the same way and again i say change tactic, change a mid def with a mid off or a forward, change scheme, but please do something!!!! otherwise is very boring

Database: i just saw Mbappè per chance and he has ridiculous attributes, heading 8!!!!! Just a 20 in acceleration and no other 20....but i mean him, De Bruyne, Haaland, Bellingham, some defenders, goalkeepers, are masterclass in their roles and have to be many 20s otherwise it all to easy fro an Aston Villa to beat City and Liverpool becase they're heavily underrated

Anyway the most important bug in my opinion is that single values are not respected at all as i said before and that even Serie B teams can play tiki taka with a serie of perfect passes and shots no matter what you decide it seems to watch a pre determined match and even if i can win many matches, the league and being promoted to Serie A i do not mind, i want a "real" match, with tactics and differences between teams even in their style of playing, since they're at disposal (tiki taka, gegenpress, counter attack, park the bus) and so i want to see them in the match.

The realism is gone long time ago. Casual arcadish game with fantasy football basically. Last year I saw saves with Haaland score over 100 goals a season

Reminds me of the good old days from CM btw, had some amazing wonderkids, Mokouko, Leonenko etc. Scored insane amount of goals with absurd tactics, shows how much this game has evolved and developed during the years

The algoritms and the layer of the game doesnt respond to each other like they do in other Strategy games.
Like, Im responding in a press conference that my new signing will play along side my striker and change the tactic to cater that they can play together. But I dont, I just play with my tactic and I wasnt bying him for that position anyway. Nothing happens, so whats the point with the press conference when it doesnt interact with the gameplay? Nothing, just click feed as alot of things are in this game. About everything in this game conversation wise with AI is just empty fillers. Like why should you answer the press every time your player score in an international?

That some people mean that this game is a deep grand strategy simulation games is beyond me. Try Distant worlds, Sterralis, OOTPB or Hearts of Iron, CK3 or any other strategy games for that matter. I got into other strategy games after I played FM for years and relised how shallow it was, and I needed other challenges. So Im grateful for that, but if you compare this game to other titles then its not even close in quality, depth, QoL or any other aspects. Its a big database, thats for sure. But not the biggest any more either

Ah, last one, dialogues at the end of 1st half are completely useless since, at first your players react, but then when you start the 2nd half they are still The same mood They were at the end of 1st half

Another bug that has been for years during shouts, If you hoover your mouse cursor over a choice, it will automatically click the last one you choose. Jam packed with bugs this game :D
