No chance in away matches

I am playing Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga and have a squad that can easily finish mid table, perhaps even qualify for an international competition. But for some reason I just can not win away matches convincingly. I just won a home 6-1 against 3rd place Frankfurt, only to very luckily get a 1-1 against last place Heidenheim in an away match. I won 5-1 against Schalke, only to lose 3-0 to Köln away. I tried a posession based tactic - doesn't work. I tried my usual gegenpress - doesn't work. I tried a defensive tactic - doesn't work. Is there a real reason for me eating ♥♥♥♥ in away games or is it just my tactic. I was used to FM21 where I could play my one tactic, home and away, and have sucess either way.
