How does that work for you? Basicly all 3 of your central midfielders have playmaker roles?
Due to my squad I should be doing something like this in central mid, but Im sceptical even using 2 playmakers.
AP(S) and DLP(D) always have worked well together and probably still do. The DLP brings the ball out of defence and stays defensive while the AP sits in space and brings the ball forward in the final third. Mezzala is not Playmaker, he can be a creator and/or a [main] goalscoring threat but he is not orchestating the game. Bayern Munichs Musiala is a very good example.
I had a super successful formation in FM 2017 with a Regista and AP on the flank being overlapped by a CWB, Unable to recreate it and too lazy to reinstall.
You can never go wrong with BBM/BWM/CM/Mezzala if you are looking for a water carrier and a DLP S / AP S as Playmaker. The other roles are more peculiar. I have yet to create a successful formation where a RPM perfoms, it for some reason never works.
For a better understanding of roles, I suggest the Guides from Cleon on the interwebz. They are as good as it can get.
I remember several years ago using all playmakers worked really well. But I had less success with it in later versions. Thats why I stopped using 3 playmakers. I still sometimes use 2.
Mezzs's feel really good to in this ME to me. I'm playing with a variation of a W-sup on one side with an IF/AP-sup on the other and it's been working surprisingly well.
The Deep Lying Playmaker is my DM who sit's back and protects/joins with the 2 center backs and creates from deep, The Advanced Playmaker is one of my main source of assists alongside my RW Inside Forward Support, My Mezzala is normally my third highest scorer.
Currently playing as Everton So I have Onana as my DLP, Dacoure as my Mezzala and Garner as my APM.
Currently experimenting with how certain roles and formations works with the new positional play. It feels like FM24 is a lot more forgiving around having weird starting formations. Current experimental monstrosity is:
SK-S
WCB-S - BPD-D - WCB-S
HB-D - RGA-S
CM-A - CM-A
T-A T-A
CF-A
Working ok.
