A little different, most players actually have a fixed potential ability set. With younger players who have had less time to play/demonstrate what they're capable of then their potential can be assigned a range.
This also applies to actual attributes, researchers can set an attribute, like finishing to be within a range of 6-10 for example. This helps to better reflect there isn't a strong enough feeling yet for a player in a certain area.
This seems slightly different than previous versions then IMO? Have played multiple games and player can be different CA/PA on each new save game. My prime example from last years game would be Moukoko of Dortmund. Some game starts he is good others he can be great. That was with FM23 so have you changed how game generates new save game databases now?
Guess it could be that I get that impression because I mostly look for wonderkids.
