definitely too many goals this year...

I pulled up a save from the start of a season in FM2023. I played this season in FM2023 fully and then in FM2024 to test it out.

Same tactics, same team, same save.

Games are ending 4-4, 8-4 etc...

Huge scorelines.

The match engine is nicer, more realistic and misplaced passes etc, the defending isn't even bad. The finishing just seems out of this world.

I had the same impression. My first game (12v4) and the second (5v1). Very unrealistic.

I have to test it a bit more but yeah way too many goals.Its beta so it dosent suprise me coz every fm beta is bad so hope they fix it.I won pre season friendy 17-0:D and so far only high scoring games like 7-2 4-4 something is not working like it shoud 100%

If you get 4 and more goals in some matches then you have a really bad tactic? I´ll bet too offenisve?

I have played 49 games so far, I am in my 2nd season now, my team scored 116 goals and I got 49 goals against me. My expected goals are over +3, and against me +1,13 each game.

And seriosuly I do not have those Icehockey results like you. :O

49 games and 116 goals is still a lot, and 49 conceded. What position are you? Top teams don't concede that many goals. Thats 165 goals in 49 games, a hefty and unrealistic amount.

I do not say that you guys are loosing games. Did I?! If I have mentioned you right, then you are complaining, you get to much goals against your team and on the other hand your team scores to much goals?! I mean alone a 4:4 is not normal, but it can happen. But a 8-4 is not normal. I ended my last season with the league title and actually I am at my 2nd game in the new season. Yes 49 Games but included cup games against low tier teams aswell, also Included Championsleague games. I have never saw an 8:4 or an 4:4 and I play with 8 leagues and I have checked the results.

I play defensive tactics at the moment so no its not tactics issues.I seen couple of other posts that people have very high scoring games.It seems almost like(i dont known how) people playing different game there is a number of discussions about too many injuries when i have almost 0 and im kicking my players asses on training or that its impossible to sell players when im selling players very easy.Very weird that beta

If I have mentioned you right, then you are complaining, you get to much goals against your team and on the other hand your team scores to much goals?! That insinuates we have a bad tactic. Bad tactic means losing matches or doing something wrong defensively. No one is going to say "I have the opposite to you! You have a bad tactic" to applaud someone for winning. Winning means good tactic, even if you win 21-20 every game.

If you had written something like "Maybe you guys have an offensive tactic that leaks goals?" and not assume that everyone has a bad tactic or playing offensive.

The issue is clearly the engine. I played this very same season with same tactic on FM2023 and barely conceded any goals. As I explained. Replayed the same season in FM2024 (as part of this test) and conceding MANY goals. Still winning though.

Not finishing. It's defenders failing to track down attacking players roaming from position causing this problem. IMO this is not going to be fixed this version (way too much work).

I think i't always been a bit like this. I think a big part of the problem is player ratings. When players start to do good and bad it snow balls. So a player can make one bad play and suddenly he doesn't know how to play football anymore. Or on the other side he scores one goal and suddenly he is Messi.

Why are you taking it so personally? Why are you swearing? Why do you want to argue?

You were the one who came into the thread saying we had problems with tactics and insinuated it was an US problem because you didn't experience it (when you conceeded 49 goals in 49 games). When it was clearly explained to you, the tactic was tested on FM2023 and then converted to FM2024 save and same season was replayed with insane results. Im not playing 0-0-10. I am playing 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 and 4-4-2.

I also released these tactics last year. I have screenshots of going through this entire season conceding only 10-15 goals all season. On Fm2024, same save file - same season replayed - conceeded 8 goals in the first 2 matches.

Also Bayern is not a very good example. It's a top heavy league and they had defensive issues last year. Almost all league champions in every league worldwide is also the best defensive side.

No.

The game will usually force you to lose a few games. Something goofy will happen, like one of your players getting a red card in the first fifteen minutes of the game. Or one of your players will forget how to play football and pass the ball directly to the other team so they score.

It's not as obvious as it used to be in earlier versions where your goalie would pass it right to an opposing player so they could score an easy goal.

I play italian Serie B which is not a League famous for many goals being scored, with Brescia

I play 442 Diamond, offensive and i scored 43 goals in 15 matches so far!!! Conceded 26

My best goalscorer is Moncini who have 11 in finalization, Who scored 13 goals in 15 matches, all absolutely unreal

Some results, 6-2 5-4 4-2 4-1 3-2 5-2 4-1 2-2 3-5 maybe it Could happen in Some Norvegian or Estonian League.........

Como that are 1st in the table scored less than 2 goals Just 2 Times and won 13 out of 15 matches so far, fix all please, so unreal

Goals dramatically diminished Now that i'm trying a shorter 3D resume of the match

I chose the 3rd option, not The full match, not The complete summary, but The middle one, did just 3 matches but 0-0, 1-0, 2-1 but this was against a weak opponent team

IT is not that the shorter 3D summary the less are the goals scored?

Could be very bad if it'd be the case since i enjoy seeing a full summary........
