Going back To FM23 for now
I know this is a beta but it needs some fine tuning before it's fun. No issues with losing or anything like that but this players a "snowflakes". Providing feedback for bad training...player training rating for the week...6.2. So I beckon him over, tell him that I was disappointed with his training. He responds that he has trained bad at all...really 6.2? So I reply that he has a lot of potential blah blah.....he gets more upset. Says something about what does his age have to do with anything. (What?!?! I said nothing about age) I say something about him not being willing to improve or whatever. He says he can let this go. (what?!?!) So I either have to threaten him which normally doesnt work especially if the dude trained a 6.2 and thinks he did fine, or I have to back down. Either way, total sh*t. Also, game crashed when I turned on my TV....yeah my TV....I do have where I can display my computer on my TV but that's not the configuration it's set up with when I was playing. Never had that happen with FM23....and it should not happen. Oh yeah GPU driver was updated last night. So yeah.

On a scale from 1-10, then 5~ is average. Now, depending on player personality you can scold most players under a 6.5 usually. But if you don't know what type of players you have yet, I suggest sticking to the colorization of the rating, such as 7.0+ is green and -6.0 is red. Then act upon those accordingly until you found out how strict you can be with the players.

Otherwise this is what happens, you scold someone who performed above average which is 5.0 but isn't as ambitious as you'd like them to be which results in them talking back at you.

Anything above 5.0 is fine in reality, but you want your players to progress so you want at least a 7.0, but they might feel anything above 5.0 is sufficient for them, it usually has to do with low ambition combined with low determination. Low ambition is usually detrimental though, since it means training will barely affect them positively, so they're unlikely to grow.

If a player talks back after you scold them when they're between a 5.0 and a 5.5 you've just found a severely unambitious player. If you're in the lower leagues and he's got natural quality then keep him until he's not good enough anymore because the risk of him leaving for a better club is low. Unless of course his loyalty is trash as well.

Just don't expect him to improve, because you will most likely soon start seeing a lot of negative arrows on his development. Which is fine in the lower leagues where you shouldn't focus on developing players anyway because they're too far off your main league to matter after a few promotions anyway.

It's all about player personality, adjust accordingly or go back to FM23.
(Where you most likely will face the same issues with enough playing time)

On most occasions don't criticize training unless they are under 6.0.

What;s your reputation? If you have a good reputation you can get away with criticising them generally. If you started with no reputation, your team probably will push back a lot and it's easy for they to mutiny against you.

So if 5 is average, then why do you get feedback saying that players that are performing bad in training when they've been rated above that? In FM24 I've had training feedback that said that players who were rated 7 or a little above 7 were performing bad?!. Now, I didn't get on those boys....but. So that's the feedback the game is giving me. So I respond accordingly (for the one's below 6.8ish and below). Also, in FM 23 I could tell the same player, with the same ratings, the same thing, but have him react totally different. Its the same save, same team, same players. I understand its a beta and they are probably trying to find the "sweet" spot for players reactions/interactions, but in FM24 they went too far the other way.

I literally have thousands of hours, probably more than 10,000, playing the various versions of this game since the late '90s.......and I can tell you the interactions with these some of these boys are a little too much right now.

5 is not avarage, its just the minimum before you suck completely.

Avarage should be 6,8. Thats even in real life the first mark with a satisfying grade.

I agree...that's much my understanding with game and training rating feedback. Even with game rating feedback, you can typically discipline players for ratings of 6.4 or below.

Im going back to FM 23. I give it 1.

WTF is for FM?
1. massive injuries, every week 1 injured player but not few days, 8 week minimum
2. players act like little children, you won 1:0 but on the pitch was very bad performance. You criticize them and 3-4 players complain. This happened several times for season (discipline 20)
3.transfer budget and new "technique" is one big bullsh.t Ive got promoted to 1st league, and board give me 1 mil (Schalke 04) and what happened from this reason new budget is 71k!!! WTF is this! Tell this to england Nottingham Forest because you step over your last budget we will give you nothing... In reality they spend over 100 mil.

For me which I have many FMs is this one big disappointment. I'm returning it and get my money back.

And yes, you are right about training. Yellow number = performance good, red = bad performance. 6,5 6,1 or 6,2 all thh same they complain.
Also I put Keke Top into first team and he was angry on me that I dont allow loan on him...
