"You will only be able to manage a team in the country you have chosen the start date from"

Explain to me why that is a thing in this game? That was NEVER the case before. Im mostly playing with Greek teams, meaning I have to play early in the UEFA qualifiers (Mid July). Thats why I always picked the start date in Croatia in the past, because then I would start in early June and had 4 weeks time ahead of the qualifiers. Now read the title of this thread. If I dont pick Greece, I cant coach a Greek team, I have to coach in the country I choose. But for Greek teams the pre-season, in-game, starts in early July, so I have like 10 days at best before the qualifiers start.

WHY IS THAT A THING NOW? WHO CAME UP WITH THIS IDEA? WHY?

Isn't this only in the "Your world" game mode, I think it fine every other mode

Im playing in Original mode, I got the same message before loading the leagues, but apparently you can still play in any country you want. Thank god

out of curiosity did you make sure you had the nations start date set to the earliest possible of the options you get most give yo multiple start date options to select from. i cant sy because i started my save with only 1 nation selected as playable and then started adding more once i was comfy with the speed of game progression forexample in season 2 im going from Just England to England, Scotland, Wales, both Irelands (though 1 of them isnt till like January i think), France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy. if that progresses well i might add another 3-5 more mid-late season (for England) starters like USA, Sweden etc
