I loved blood and played it to the end then finished duke. Both great games, but their remasters had issues. Duke randomly died sometimes, and blood didn't have much in terms of extra features besides achievements. This outdoes both on steam, and gets trashed for being a good remaster at a steal price?
This is why I don't trust any gamer opinions.
I think I'll try the dosbox version or a source port.
The mouse is weird and I tried a lot of option for the graphic too.. can't find a way to play it.
Maybe it is the game.. I don't know.
I expected something similar to Duke Nukem 3D, the engine of which feels a little bit clunky respect to the one of Doom, but this. this is far worse here.
Maybe there are weird things going on with some pc, or operative systems, or resolutions, or hardware pieces like specific gpus or cpus.. or the fact that I have a laptop..
Shouldn't it feel like Duke in movement and shooting??
I think now it is somehow better..
maybe because I capped the fps to 60.. I don't know.
But still it feel worse than Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary..
and in some things seems even an older game.. I thought it should have been more advanced.. kind of a spiritual sequel.
Can't I use the katana on a secondary button like Duke's kick?
A lot worse, stuttering a lot, not fluid, unplayable...
It is free on Steam too
That free shadow warrior was what made me buy this one, its not as good as you guys make it out. Needs workarounds for widescreen, and the colors look faded. This has slick menus and runs way better than you guys are making it out to be.
Meanwhile nightdive doom is crashing constantly for people in online and map menu, but you guys still want ND to do it cause mainstream and popular. I really don't see whats wrong with this game for the asking price. Works and runs amazing for me.
Redux crash a lot to me really. And it is pretty clunky.
I still played it though, to unlock the achievements and it is ok at the end of the day, with all its flaws.
No-one said the "Classic" version is ok as it is..
But the work around it needs is pretty easy: installing a source-port very simple; I have Raze (GZ-Doom like) but there are other popular too as WangGDX and VoidSW.
